I'm still waiting for any mention of whether the Zune only lets you trade music purchased from the Zune Marketplace, or if it will allow you to trade any music files you have. I've seen endless speculation on what happens when it DRMs certain songs (see the recent Creative Commons fracas), but I have yet to see hard confirmation one way or the other on whether it will even allow you to share songs not purchased from MS.
Reality: The only thing a Ph.D. means is that you're not a moron, and you're willing to put up with the bullshit it takes to slog your way through a Ph.D. program somewhere.
I agree with the second part of this statement, but take issue with the first. I deal with PhDs all day, every day. Many of them are indeed morons who happen to have a great depth of knowledge in one miniscule area. After several years of doing this job, I've concluded that the only thing a PhD proves is that you were able to devote several years to a PhD program.
When I click on a message title, I get about 5 lines of message text displayed in the display area, which is about as convenient as reading the same message off the screen of a cell phone. And this is it, there is no "open message in a new tab/window" or anything like that, this is the only way to view messages.
I guess genius here never tried to double click any of the messages. It opens it in a new minitab within the Y!mail main window/tab.
You might want to give Sweetwater Sound a call and explain to them what your goals are. Also give them the budget you have to work with. They should be able to help you put together a package that suits your needs. Also note that when you look at their Computer Audio section that they don't sell a single thing by Creative. There's a reason for this.
I'm trying to figure out why some idiot mod moderated this as 'flamebait.' Like any opinion-based discussion, some will take issue with a few of his points. But by and large, it's pretty much correct.
It's a mute point anyways, since what he said is, for all intensive purposes, correct. It's a doggy dog world out there, so they might as well keep the price low.
Well, it looks like at least one of the telcos is making an attempt to deliver on their promise (albeit a little late). When/if a formal investigation is launched into the whole "fiber to the home" scandal, Verizon will have something to hold up in their defense.
No kidding. I was at the Minneapolis airport a few weeks ago and there was a periodic message that consisted solely of an authoritorian voice stating, "The TSA terror alert level is orange." Made me feel like I was in some sort of scifi movie or something...
Which is precisely why I'll never subscribe to slashdot. I've thought about it before, but I refuse to reward Taco&Co for doing a ridiculously half-assed job. Were they to actually take their jobs seriously and show some sort of professionalism in what they do, I'd reconsider.
Is that with your right or your left hand?
It's amazing how often stating the completely (and idiotically) obvious will get you modded up as 'funny' around here...
When are they going to start selling hardware? I wan't my USB Fish'n'Chips!
Where do you think Zonk gets all of the "Anonymousy Submitted" stories that he puts up as editor?
From the anonymous coward who claims he submitted this story three days ago?
I was thinking about trying it out on a brown Zune...
That's just beautiful. I may very well have to order one of those...
But when the entire world is leaving devices plugged in, it ends up being a huge amount of power devoted to doing nothing.
Not true! How else will I know that it's eternally twelve o'clock in my apartment?

I've heard that America's Army is useful for understanding the American military mindset. Maybe it should be reclassified as a state secret...
...use soap, water, and deodorant liberally.
That one's not a myth. It's something that they should be doing.
Myth #7: A Ph.D. means something.
Reality: The only thing a Ph.D. means is that you're not a moron, and you're willing to put up with the bullshit it takes to slog your way through a Ph.D. program somewhere.

Didn't you get the memo? It's okay as long as they don't know you're using their resources...
Well, their records indicate that you rented it twice, so you clearly enjoyed it a lot. : p

Defender of the Crown was ported to the GBA a few years ago.
The only way to win is not to play!
:-p
So, are you saying that only losers will play DEFCON?

Oh, so that's what they meant when they said it would be coming out on the next gen consoles...
If you're doing this you should make sure that you don't have any overdraft protection on your checking account.

Never, I repeat, NEVER, use that phrase whem making a reference to goatse...
