Surely any aliens that can get this far should understand how to read compressed images... They're going to think they're dealing with inferior intelligence and possibly launch an unprovoked...
The fact that there are never any pictures of these, allegedly seen, exoplanets - but given the fact that the only result is some raw spectroscopy data can only warrant to be mainstream news to the guys who crunch numbers all day and get impression artists to turn it into something somebody without a Ph.D. in astronomy can understand. As a link to an Arxiv paper, to me this is completely uninteresting.
According to that map, despite arising in modern-day Baltic, Central and Eastern Europe the Balto-Slavic group hasn't really moved anywhere. Looks like Russia, Ukraine, Georgia and Armenia are still using sign language of some sort... What's the deal there?
Add some Fukushima Daichi, trace steroids and hormone and you have the ultimate power drink, complete with salts and other minerals. Coming soon to a Starbucks near you! (to match the taste).
Underpaid for the stuff I do as it is. I'm sure everyone will agree that if the company is reaping substantial benefit from having you on board - you should be getting a slice of the cake - if anything to keep you motivated. A good worker is a happy worker. Of course, there are these altruist types, subject of a different discussion...
Thats just messed up.
Why not get off by taking up skydiving, mountain biking, or bungee jumping off the Macau tower? He must have had a pretty f*** up upbringing (in addition to genes the somehow didn't checksum).
Oh yeah, in Soviet Rusia it would be hard to leave the USSR or even know about such "bourgoise" activities...
Answer in TFA. But I also suspect it's because it will be the hardest and most stringent FDAs out of the way, which will facilitate certification with other FDAs (and their respective counterparts) around the world while opening up the US as a large HIV market right off the bat.
Considering a near three-decade long history of Multi touch RnD (starting with University of Toronto, followed by Bell Labs and Xerox, et al...) a patent awarded to apple would be quite a spit in the face of everyone who made the technology possible in the first place.
Want social skills and the joy of direct human interaction, sports, walking to class [or bars] and having [even if occasional] sex lost to digital sensory stimulation, abscence of physical activity and a severe vitamin D deficiency?
Thanks, but me and my kids will do it the old fashioned way.
A slight typo - I think you mean Unobtainium.
You think NASA is spending all this cash to send Lego figures to the outer planets to find methane (that won't even burn on Mars). No no no no no no, no! They're after a much bigger fish. Ooooh, fish?
Hey, maybe it's the kids' way of saying they're in search of a job. If I were the italians, I'd sit down with them and see what they can do for the (Italian|American|NATO... ) govt - as they can obviously do quite a bit and clearly more than their employed, university educated cybersecurity "specialists". 2c/

What's more disturbing is the presence of all the other chemicals - antibiotics, illegal drugs, mood stabilizers and sex hormones.

And those convicted wrongfully. As is often the case in Russia and the ex-Sovit block. *sigh*
