    Then after a month with no pot they look at the $500 price tag, two year contract, & wonder WTF they were thinking.

    In all fairness though, I met one of the guys who designs lighting layouts at shows for Audio Visual Innovations [aviinc.com], & he uses an Apple laptop to do it. He didn't have to give up pot for a month to get the Mac either, the Mac actually helps him afford good pot.

    A non-user replaceable battery limits the life of a device substantially.

    I hope that battery can last 2 years, or the price of iPhones drops before the two years of everyones' contracts.

    simulating something like this would be orders of magnitude more complex than predicting weather, and they can't even do that

    Predicting the weather is like running a dog track, if everyone always knew exactly what was going to happen it wouldn't be any fun.

    How do we know we're not the one's being simulated?

    Find the hottest female you can & grab her ass.

    If she slaps you, you'll know you're alive real quick.
    If she fucks your brains out, you'll know you're alive a little slower, but for a longer period of time.
    If you're a simulation, then you've just got away with grabbing some hotties ass.

    You can't lose.

    Hey, I like technology as much as anyone, but history has shown that we have to think of everything before making it possible to do some things with technology before others are possible.

    DNA is one of thoose things that if tamperable to early, could change legal, medical, & who knows what else-al systems in ways we haven't even begun to imagine before it even became beneficial to do it.

    On a brighter note, perhaps if robots completely ran humanities production & DNA could easily be altered to instantly resolve medical conditions, there would be no motivation for punishment or even crime, because the things that caused someone to commit a crime would be easily & quickly curable & everything they needed would be provided anyway.

    This sounds like one of thoose stories where pieces of somthing that could destroy the universe have been scattered around earth, & should never be put together less the universe should end.
    More specificly, the part where one of the heros accidently drops one of the pieces & the evil supervillan almost gets it right before the cool guy that everyone thinks is next to useless swoops in out of nowhere & saves the day.
