  1. Is it really violating the GPL? on GPL Violations On Windows Go Unnoticed? · · Score: 0

To my understanding of the GPL, you can include the software in software you are selling, as long as if you make changes to the software, you give those changes back to the community. Not to disrespect the authors of the windows software, but if they are having to use the GPL software in their "for sale" software, do you really think that they are smart enough to make changes to the afore mentioned GPL software? Okay, there really was some disrespect meant, but really....

with the adage of "Give credit where credit is due"...Now, I had Comcast from 2004-2006 and if they could keep my freaking line up, the speed was about 6 to 7 megs consistently. Again, I say, IF they could keep the line up. Speed of broadband is only half of the equation. The second part is service. If your customers can not even connect due to shoddy or shitty, you pick, equipment, and cable infrastructure, then does the speed even matter? I now gladly pay $35.00 per month for DSL at 6meg, and I have not had an outage in over a year.

  11. Re:Inventor on The History of the CD-ROM · · Score: 0

The sound missing problem can normally be attributed to poor cross-over frequencies. Generally, you can use a sound meter to adjust your crossover, assuming it is adjustable, and make the sounds merge to form a more consistent sound.

I can't believe you included Klipsch in a listing of "Audiophile" grade speakers...maybe back in the late 70's and early 80's, but now, they are more on par with BOSE or Polk, which is rather poor. Celestion, B&W, Kef, Martin Logan, etc. would be a much better description of "Audiophile".

Yeah....back in 2000 we opened an ISP in a remote area using VSAT and a box similar to this full of Cobalt RAQ4i servers and cisco routing and switching and firewalls. We operated for 2 years off of that thing, and it was easy to keep up. We did not need the dehumidifiers, we were in the desert southwest (It's a DRY HEAT) but the A/C was REALLY important. We used a couple of windows A/C units, cut holes in the side of the cargo box without the equipment and made them air tight/water tight. It was a fun project.
