    I'm sure most people do. However, it's still hard to find new laptops without a pre-installed OS. Also, I know there are people buying computers with iCandy installed and replacing it with XP; I'm going to be doing exactly that for a friend later this week. Then you, my friend, are doing your friend a great disservice. I've been running Vista for about a year now, and once I turned off the "Cancel or Allow" annoyance, I've been very happy with the OS. I also run Ubuntu and compiz and I have to say, I've had no problems with either OS. I know Vista is supposed be be a total piece of shit, but I've loved it. To me, it's much more usable than XP. I've been surprised that it's gotten such a bad rap. To me, all that is just FUD.

    I agree. Although the whole "Cancel/Allow" thing only happens when you try to run stuff as an Administrator.

    Too late. All the tickets were bought by automated systems within the first .2 seconds. You'll now need to get them from a reseller charging $25,000. Still not bad when you consider Hannah Montana tickets are $1,000,000 + your next child.

    Is there a bigger discount if I include a 2nd child?

    Well we'll have Starcraft II sometime soon this year (i hope) and by the time they finish developing WoS they'll probably have pumped out SCII's expansion leading us straight into WoS.

    Blizzard is working on an untitled (so far) next gen MMO. Watch as WoW subscriber count hits 0 once World of Starcraft is released.

    Don't forget that Microsoft has their own games division. I wouldn't expect their in-house development to be trotting off to EA's payroll.

    Actually through Wells Fargo if you have direct deposit you can get an advance at any atm. So they can take more then what you have.

    They were still an issue, just a less severe one then the Forsaken who roam about much more frequently in the late volumns.

    Well said. I've not talked to anyone who has "hated" that game. I played through it myself and it was enjoyable and had a lot of nice features beyond the eye candy. While I agree it could have used some work in areas it was a far cry from the crap this story is making it sound like.

    I had the same issue until I installed a DivX codec pack. Everything I have plays just fine. It's a 30 second fix (for me anyways).

    I've ripped my own movies in .avi format as well and Vista has no trouble playing them. I even ripped a few using vista. The others were ripped with xp. Vista does have some nice media sharing network capabilities too. As for the DRM I've yet to encounter anything that I would classify as even annoying.

    I cancelled my PCGamer subscription because they refused to refund me after I paid up for 1yr and never got a magazine. That kind of customer service will quickly lose many readers. They didn't even offer to start a fresh subscription from that point and send me the magazines for which I had already paid. So I'll stick with my FREE reading online thanks.
