What about musicians who play guitar and sing at the same time? Or chefs who cook multiple meals at a time? The thousands of nerds who listen to deathmetal and program C++ or w/e... I don't buy this story.
I'm sure most people do. However, it's still hard to find new laptops without a pre-installed OS. Also, I know there are people buying computers with iCandy installed and replacing it with XP; I'm going to be doing exactly that for a friend later this week.
Then you, my friend, are doing your friend a great disservice. I've been running Vista for about a year now, and once I turned off the "Cancel or Allow" annoyance, I've been very happy with the OS. I also run Ubuntu and compiz and I have to say, I've had no problems with either OS. I know Vista is supposed be be a total piece of shit, but I've loved it. To me, it's much more usable than XP. I've been surprised that it's gotten such a bad rap. To me, all that is just FUD.
I agree. Although the whole "Cancel/Allow" thing only happens when you try to run stuff as an Administrator.
Too late. All the tickets were bought by automated systems within the first.2 seconds. You'll now need to get them from a reseller charging $25,000. Still not bad when you consider Hannah Montana tickets are $1,000,000 + your next child.
Is there a bigger discount if I include a 2nd child?
Well we'll have Starcraft II sometime soon this year (i hope) and by the time they finish developing WoS they'll probably have pumped out SCII's expansion leading us straight into WoS.
Well said. I've not talked to anyone who has "hated" that game. I played through it myself and it was enjoyable and had a lot of nice features beyond the eye candy. While I agree it could have used some work in areas it was a far cry from the crap this story is making it sound like.
I've ripped my own movies in.avi format as well and Vista has no trouble playing them. I even ripped a few using vista. The others were ripped with xp. Vista does have some nice media sharing network capabilities too. As for the DRM I've yet to encounter anything that I would classify as even annoying.
I cancelled my PCGamer subscription because they refused to refund me after I paid up for 1yr and never got a magazine. That kind of customer service will quickly lose many readers. They didn't even offer to start a fresh subscription from that point and send me the magazines for which I had already paid. So I'll stick with my FREE reading online thanks.
remind me to stay off the test server.
I'd be willing to bet their answers only lead to more puzzling questions.

We all know nuclear winter will cancel out global warming.
G.) Buy two and use them to melt the labels of each other.

Blizzard is working on an untitled (so far) next gen MMO. Watch as WoW subscriber count hits 0 once World of Starcraft is released.
Hint: NO!
Don't forget that Microsoft has their own games division. I wouldn't expect their in-house development to be trotting off to EA's payroll.
now some twit is going to be overlaying pr0n at the movie theater instead of a small red dot.
Just because the universe stops that doesn't mean your watch will.
I think they missed some pretty big moments. A levels in Crysis come to mind...
Actually through Wells Fargo if you have direct deposit you can get an advance at any atm. So they can take more then what you have.
Speaking of GTA, where's my GTA MMO! The fact that there's more HL coming isn't a shocker for anyone. It's more like "duh"
But fear leads to anger, and anger leads to hate, and hate is the darkside.
They were still an issue, just a less severe one then the Forsaken who roam about much more frequently in the late volumns.

How am I supposed to get mutant powers from radioactive wifi if it's harmless! I'd rant more but I have to go swim in the Hudson River's toxic waste.
To paraphrase Robin Williams: "But senator, monopoly is just a game, I'm trying to rule the f'ing world"
Where do I sign up?!
I had the same issue until I installed a DivX codec pack. Everything I have plays just fine. It's a 30 second fix (for me anyways).
