I know it only goes to 5.9 that's my point!:) That's 2gigs over my CPU. Saying games are generally the most intensive is a bit inaccurate. I was trying to imply the most "common" use.
So this is most likely targeted at gamers because we all know that games generally speaking are the most intensive software ever run on a PC. As far as I know though there is no game on the market that requires anywhere near that kind of horsepower. Not that more is a bad thing but I'm running a Intel E6750 at 3gigs and even that rates a 5.9 on the Vista-Meter (not that Vista is a "reliable" benchmark).
On the other hand...will this be out in time for Crysis?
Exactly why and decent and respectable game will allow you to skip the cutscenes regardless if you've seen it once, twice, or two thousand times (better yet even 0 times). Some games like World of Conflict have excellent cutscenes that really give the characters a lot more personality and in turn give you more emotional attachment (hate or love). Which in turn provides a better gameplay experience. The game doesn't feature a lot of them but they're so well done I find myself wishing there were more of them.
This whole article is a bit pointless because it's dependant on player preference as well as graphics/story/voice acting (if any).
Could we have a math major figure out how many days until the whole US is on that list at the current rate of it's increase. Prehaps a possible "White List" of people who are allowed to fly? Similar to anti-virus theory for computers. So-and-so wants to hijack a plane: Cancel or Allow.
From a gamers perspective 32 bits is still very viable. Mainly due to the fact that there are many many games that are fully 32-bit however they only have 16-bit installers thus making them useless on a 64-bit OS (64-bit Operating Systems do not support 16-bit anything iirc)
I live in Minnesota and they've been advertising on the radio about foreclosed homes in the range of 4bed/2bath houses for $17,000 mortgages... If that's far out of reach then people need to stop flipping burgers and get a real education.
This game is vaporware...just like Duke Nukem Forever. If you recall all those years ago this was how Duke Nukem Forever started. Same with Starcraft:Ghost. Few months here and there. Now how many years later since their initial launch date...
I've updated countless drivers for graphics cards and other devices on Vista. Not once have I had any issue. I wonder if this is caused by certain graphics cards. Or prehaps certain 3rd party drivers not provided directly from Nvidia or ATI? I'm using a Nvidia 8800 GTS 640mb and have only used fully released drivers (no beta drivers). Could it possibly be the Vista flavor? IE: premium, ultimate etc.
I've worked at UPS and the comparison to Tetris is very accurate. If you work at UPS over Christmas time loading 6-7 full sized semi's (over the course of 3 hours) with you and one other guy is like Tetris at it's hardest.
More on topic I've played pretty much the full spectrum of MMOs and about 50% of the under 16 kids I meet were either very nice and even fun to play with and the other 50% were complete idiots who earned a spot on my/ignore list. Note I'm not talking about newbness and the lack of skill they may or may not possess at the game. I'm talking about pure personality as to how they treated the party and myself.
I've been using Vista Premium for 6 months now and I've yet to have a single problem. I think a lot of the FUD from the news sites is blind prejudice against MS. I'm not a MS fanboy either.
The song was okay. It didn't suit me personally. However I think it fits well with the game. Which was good for it's original concept. I still think TF2 is what "makes" the Orange Box excellent.
If you're using your keyboard as I pillow I certainly hope you don't drool in your sleep. More on topic how much do men vs women brain patterns differ? Do I have to buy a special blue headband and the ladies get pink? Honestly I wouldn't want to know what some of you people think about:)
(note:I myself would never buy a brain reading device)
I think their interest in water stems from the fact that it could sustain life and it's required for life as we know it. Not because we have shortage of water on Earth.
The above poster is 100% right on. GalCiv2 is awesome! I hope you have a beefy PC for the higher difficulty settings though. It wails on the processor for all it's AI calculations. Hardest turn based game I've ever played and easily one of the best games I've played in a long long time.
One of the best AI's out there IMO is Galactic Civilizations II. You crank that difficulty up (and with a decent dual core processor) and you have yourself a pretty damned tough AI. With the different tendancies of some of the civilizations you can get wasted pretty quickly.
I've been saying this for years. It makes perfect sense. The number of applications you want to run on your computer is next to nothing compared to the hundreds of thousands of spyware, virus, bots, and every other undesirable program out there. One step closer to "hack proof" if you ask me (not that we can ever make something 100% hack proof).
He bought a mac, installed linux on it, end of story.
Let the poo flinging begin!!!

Well said. Bravo.
It's a joke, laugh.

So are we calling Comcast Bandwidth Nazis? Or BitTorrent Haterz?
Any option for a gamecube controller? It seems more suited for a game like smash bros.

Finally testing on humans. It's about time we got some results instead of the mice getting all the 'love'.

That's hilarious.
They have a long way to go to catch up with Opera's performance. Excellent browser for viewing sites with loads of images/video etc.

The technical term I believe is an ID10T error.
