When people/companies peel back the fat in recessions, they usually look at what can maximize the profit and minimize the wasted time. As of right now, the only the necessities are being fulfilled. Open Source is not going to be eliminated, but just pull back in the economy. Those who absolutely need the software or already have the software are going to more likely implement it, unless they find it ennadiquit(sp?) for their personal/business needs any more.
