I see why the chinese government likes Yahoo, my point was while i have some ad blockers I find yahoo a place where any investment in time on stuff is potentailly meaningless if some yahoo person is in bad mood one day.
I have backups, but yahoos customer experience leaves much to be desired.
I had a yahoo webmail account, the new webmail beta needs new windows or mac, since i have neither webmail beta is a no go. Explain to me why webmail needs windows or mac binaries - spyware ?
Geocities trashed my webspace too after a couple of years no explaination about that either
What can we learn from yahoo ?
Im not going to spend much time here 'exploring'
I'm not going to use, or buy webmail plus
If yahoo think i visit yahoo just for there webadverts (screen coverage is increasing) then think again.
360 - blog platform is um full of privacy issues for me, and too late
Some years ago i made a sales enquiry about purchasing some laptops sans windows - we dont pay Billy tax. - or use 'xp'.
They've not yet replied and ive not placed the order.
as to $ 100 to put a computer in box - suckers us english consumers. Like Dell care, according to the court (yesterdays slashdot) a certificate of ownership of microsoft product is stealing/piracy too - go make up your own mind about persons whom buy Dell.
tubes !!!, spluttered the wifi lobby spokesman, its radio signals today silly, many wifi companies are going to aim thought control radio programs at the senators office, tubes are so 1960's
As a wordperefect user (still) I demoed some time ago the 'then' latest demo version of wordperfect that then only worked on xp (we own a copy for usb features), Boy did it (Corel Office) crash and burn, it was removed after day 1, of the trial - we since moved to Open Office.
Corel better stop writing windows software too.
I also used Wordperefect on Linux (eg bought), Corel were not playing gpl ball by releasing the code to library you need for modern distros of Linux if memory serves me in this area. So when a Corel exec says they support the gpl/Linux cause they dont really, and thats probably why Wordperfect is a non chioce in office software since nobody could get it to not crash in Linux with a more modern kernel.
Those pointy haired ceo's probably could not have figured it out too - i mean changing wifi settings might be beyond a lot of the ceo's. Wifi is universal and not only just for first class passengers. Mind you i prefer airbus aircraft to boeing anyhow.
I fly because its efficent. not to get ripped off, or to surf the internet.
'Americans' like Bob Parsons feel that any generic term can be trademarked - my apologies, Bob Parsons would probably feel he should have handled all of the.eu domain 'sale' rather than let good old competition that Bob cant hack. I'd never acuse anybody here of being a 'yankee trader' - but you get my drift, if that american pto office which those yanks it appears employ mindless monkeys.
While godaddy might have been honourable in the past the suits are in town - and the godaddy abuse dept must now pay its way.
I've reported godaddy abuse and wrote to 'Bob' on his blog about eurid. why ? for he's an idiot, and I'm glad i dont use godaddy, in the past or now. Mind you i dont own sex.eu, but i managed to get the eu domains on landrush without godaddys 'managerial' incompetance.
GoDaddy has no idea about spam lists, as to blocking domains because an telecoms/hoster decided that hosting a rokso class spammer means you get terminated too - hmmm well they wont be seeing me - btw that happened to ev1.net recently, so are all ev1.net clients spammers why yes it would seem so - ker ching!!!!.
as to.eu, they could have paid more but did not, please do not get confused between generic terms and real trademarks - you americans love to do that.
While spam is a problem, if there was a problem with our domains i'd like to know about it before some rich american businessman decides that he both wants to register 'sex.eu' for us and also demand $50 to unblock it for not spamming
If your going to do mass terminations - at least check they all spammed first - ev1.net clients (not us) while 'tarred'with a spam from here brush for a day had the block removed when the one spammer 'left' thats acceptable. Godaddys actions are not.
Well theres a lot of mac 'priests of the church of photoshop' on Flickr - they consider that sort of thing beneath them and blasphemous to there 'art'.
I have some sites that use perl, php, and cgi (perl scripts)
We use postgres rather mysql - why mysql's ab sco association.
I like to think that I use the right tool for the job, if im going to blame anybody - i'd go blame the delimiters used in html - start adding " '' '' " to some programing lingo whatever it might be and then some javascript 'code' then things do get messy. It can be handled.
I blame html here for being sloppy, rather than bad code/programmers whoever
Welcome to fud (currently promoted by the Bush Family).
Anti virus on windows fails becuase,
1. its the platform to hack
2. Most users are clueless

Open office suits us now

I look forward to reading Versigns terms and conditions.
my english sucks, if only I could ./configure it etc
