If already you do html and css and the rest when called to - then all zen garden is css and divs boiling it down. A blog usually displays 10 articles - fast to load. OK so it looks good in FF 2.0, now lets see what it looks like in ie 6 - oh no 'train crash'.
Start adding 'support' for the winbloze ie crap. Check in FF and Opera and you might feel too that blog design is what zen gardens best option. The next time i see a ford advert on tv, i shall be writing a strongly worded letter to the tv regulator, after all i'd certainly not wish to be in violation of Fords property.
We recently bought a low end hp laptop, since i was in charge of debranding it of windows live mail, office 2007, and most of the drm apps etc means Vista is a Microsoft brand feel good exercise (sod the the tco arguments.)
Being the first new Vista box in the office (mostly linux here)- the only thing i cannot do is print to the cups server or to the office samba box because Vista uses smb 2 protocol (thats love isnt it when they hate there competition like that).
The box needed more memory it crawled in a 1gb ram, and once 'Open officed', and Firefoxed seems reasonable enough but it took some time to do without a central image. My conclusion was the brand is more important than the technology for Microsoft.
While somebody in Microsoft loves the brand, Not all of its unwilling customers desire it and since it is a reality that HP would not refund the windows tax, its nice to know that if Vista foo bars even simple stuff like network printing [even to hp printers] then its fair to say that the laptop is broken.
Not much brand value there for hp i think. but then printing might be deemed a drm breach soon if Microsoft have there way.
I blanche when if i go in a local store for something i see some smuck purchasing a hp orginal cartridge. Mind you the rest of the staff think i'm mad when i say theres still ink in the printers be they inkjets, or the laser printers.

A friend recently bought a dell and vista for his home (no not me), and he found out that
usb Lexmark printer was useless.
Aol connection needed a router rather than a usb modem.
OK so Printers are cheap, but there was nothing wrong with the lexmark usb printer he owned (there not bothering to support there 'legacy' printers), and the router cost him $100 from aol I understand.
If my friend worked out what vista cost him, i am not sure he would have bought it, yes he should of done more research, but if he is any indication then vista means some pretty usable stuff is going to get obselete.

I miss Tom and Jerry (thats evil too), it would interesting to see if the more cotton wool we bound round kids cause them to experiment in drugs/stealing cars/etc. After all tv does not handle that stuff.
