um. Gnome has always been more Mac like especially since Gnome2. I actually used Gnome long before OSX and when I used OSX for the first time a couple of years ago i said "Damn, this Mac OSX is just like gnome!". Menu locations, dialog boxes, buttons etc all are heavily influened by OSX as far as i can tell
at least its a differentiation of Linux and Distro. As in Ubuntu is not Linux. Really? Try telling (most) Ubuntu users. When somebody on the internet claims 'their Linux i not working' I'd say the odds are good that they are running Ubuntu.
I continue to pray for the end of the Free Software Foundation. If Stallman and its' other members truly wanted to help their fellow man at this point, they would voluntarily dissolve the organisation, and withdraw into anonymity.P.
how would that help their fellow man? - i don't follow
Hell, we didn't even have cable or a McDonalds until 1986 or so.
umm what do you mean by this?
Where I stay in the UK, we don't have cable or a MacDonalds, and I doubt we ever will. This is in 2009. 20 miles away from the nearest town. In fact if I want a MacDonalds I'd have to travel 100miles to the nearest city. And probably the same If i wanted to watch catv.
Homer: Somebody had to take the babysitter home. Then I noticed she was
sitting on [splice] her sweet [splice] can. [splice] -- o I grab
her -- [splice] sweet can. [splice] Oh, just thinking about
[splice] her [splice] can [splice] I just wish I had he --
[splice] sweet [splice] sweet [splice] s-s-sweet [splice] can. Jones: So, Mr. Simpson: you admit you grabbed her can. What do you have
to say in your defense? Homer: [looking lustful in a clearly-paused VCR shot] Jones: Mr. Simpson, your silence will only incriminate you further.
[paused shot of Homer grows larger]
No, Mr. Simpson, don't take your anger out on me. Get back! Get
back! Mist -- Mr. Simpson -- nooo!
Man: [quickly] Dramatization -- may not have happened.
As a brit, watching that reminds me of all the is bad about US TV. It's over produced, badly edited, misconstrued action (for dramatic effect), constant 'dramatic' sound track, 'dramatic' voice over, all about the confrontational aspect....
Compare to the UK version and as you say, it's more about the business, more 'factual' there's no dramatic voice-over providing unneeded 'tension'.
It reminds me of the Simpsons episode where Homer 'grabs her can' gummi venus de milo, or something.

LOL. Your username is apt. Sony also do mobiles, as Sony Ericsson, who coincidentally have a contract whereby HTV make some of their phones, including the high end, but dissappointing Sony X1.
Dutch? I was in Belgium for a few months and it took a while for me to cotton on to the TV adverts that annouced web sites with what sounds like 'vey vey vey dot etc etc' I thought that was quite neat.
If the physicists are right, though, no technology could ever beat the ultimate limit they've calculated which is about 10^16 times faster than today's fastest machines
WHAT. THE. FUCK. is it with all these pizza references?
Some of them are pretty funny actually.

No no.. What we need is the experience when we are using our software.

It's dead simple. We need something like this in Linux. You mean like this : http://0install.net/
wiki: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zero_Install
What do you mean you aren't already using it?
Quite literally, I think you'll find.

shrug. Works great for me. Find program I like. Click play. Enjoy.
Do you mean you can't connect to ebay, craigslist, or google shopping? What is a marketplace in relation to an operating system on a computer?
It's kind of like the functionality provided by apt-get, but only you have to pay for everything. And it's shiny.
Yeah, that sounds good.

Yes, but it could not manage Vista.
Is this some kind of new Chewbacca defence?
