You expect to get legal notices via email?

Email is inherently a buggy form of communication. It could take 3 seconds to get to the person or 3 days. A phone call or letter with return receipt would be a bit more reliable.

Not to mention legal info probably shouldnt be sent in the clear.

Well if you do lose the case, you can always claim incompetent representation and appeal.

Yes I have the right to criticize people that waste resources unnecesarly.

What makes you think I dont, they destory at a significantly higher rate this thing we share on this planet, the environment.

It isnt about making a zero impact on the environment, it is about lessening it when it is rather easy to do. Car vs SUV. People that choose the second option are just selfish. Being nice to the environment honestly doesnt take that much effort so your computer example is just rather stupid. There are hundreds of easy choices that when applied across the board would improve things greatly.

I am 6'2 and I am very comfortable in a corolla, a smaller vehicle. There are PLENTY of vehicles that are not gas guzzlers. So dont whine about being uncomfortable, many cars are available that get good gas mileage that are not SUVs.

  6. Re:This matters to me why? on Electric Car Faster Than A Ferrari or Porsche · · Score: 4, Insightful

I think we just need to charge any vehicle that gets less than 25MPG an extra 2 dollars per gallon of gas.

Seriousely. Those people that get 15 to the gallon raise the global demand by consuming far more than they need to. They drive up the price of gas.

They should pay more and the rest of us that are responsible people that give a damn should not have to subsidize their selfishness.

SUV's should flat out be banned. Trucks should be restricted as work vehicles or heavily taxed for personal use.

There is absolutely no reason why you cant get away with every personal use vehicle getting at min 25 to the gallon. I just bought a brand new corolla. 41 to the gallon, just a standard, rather roomy vehicle. There are tons of cars that use regular gasoline that get great mileage.
There is no reason to be buying SUV's other than to look retarded (SUV's are rather ugly)

Either ban those vehicles or make them pay $5 a gallon. Let the rest of the country enjoy lower prices because we act responsible.

if it is more than one person? That is called a conspiracy. I understand how it works, but it is not right that the law pretends a company doesnt have people behind it actually carrying out the felonies. The 10 people responsible should be arrested, handcuffed and go to trial for felony charges. and forget about the company completely. if you held the people responsible for what they did, the company as a whole doing wrong makes no difference anymore (except in deep pocket cases)

From a purely profit standpoint Exxon would be better off firing everyone (all 500,000 employees) and selling off everything they have. Then take that money and put it in a bank account...they would make more money per year than they currently do. Guess what, Exxon makes HUGE profits, because they are HUGE and have a lot of employees and assets. They make a small profit margin, your savings account does better.

You are correct, everyone I know goes to the bars for the "health benefits" of having a drink or two... You find me a bar that has even one person enjoying alcohol in "moderation" and I will find you a thousand that are completely absent of those people. Bar's cater to their customers, their customers smoke. When they choose to ban smoking in their bar, their bar goes out of business or has a complete lack of customers. a 40% decrease in sales in alcohol at bars in the madison area sum that up pretty nicely. I do not beleive that 40% of the population smoke. So smokers dont go to the bars, and many non smokers dont go now because their friends are not going. If you are drinking for the health benefits, do not pretend you are doing that at a bar.
