Comedy GOLD!
I had no idea Slashdot editors held such sway over your life. The richeness of this comedy mine is SO deep it hurts! It must be as deep as your basement!
I'm hopeful that the amount of testing it went through by both the feds and AT&T will alleviate some of those concerns. This is why I never trust work proof'ed by one set of eyeballs. Having other people in the mix might help. I am glad my MacBook was purchased late in it's production cycle though. Has a decent enough warranty, and then there's always AppleCare.
Right nothing like an education you'll get when your drunk visiting friend uses your account for limewire activity, and you're on the hook for 3000 dollars worth of fees.
Change your campus. There's plenty more to be found for the smart student. Or you can "hope for the best". Good luck with that.
This surely will make the school's enrollment climb just like these lawsuits have helped the recording industry with their sales. I wish well the U of W with their newfounded strategy for prosperity and growth.
You know, I think we got our answer on the whole "why no video-cap" question. The way things are set up with the camera, I take a picture and I can send it. That's not too terrible datawise. Now, if I start shooting video - even short video - and sending that over AT&T's network that'd probably cause them to have kittens.
I wouldn't mind being able to bluetooth it off later, but I think AT&T didn't want Apple users wondering why one video transfer option was available and not another. Best not to "go there" - even if the plan is "unlimited".
Agreed. This is probably a generational thing - but logically - for me the most effective "real-time" method of communication with a phone - is, you know, TALKING. If I need to clarify with text, or send something that needs to be transfered, transcripted or otherwise referenced later, email is fine for that and with unlimited data - that's doubly fine.
Why do I need to blog via SMS, and isn't 200 enough? (I'm even assuming worst-case that I'm paying per incoming message here too - fuck if I know how those plans work, I'll admit I'm fuzzy on SMS)
One of the biggest is the cost of making something fake. Good CGI is expensive and a lot of it is edited with the attention of a hummingbird to cover up faults and the expense of it all. Blade Runner works not only because of the tangability but because it's not hidden away behind a pile of jump-cuts.
That's a misnomer. EA's fiscal year ends march 31st. So the question is when does the year start? Meaning does fiscal 2008 start April 2007? If that's the case it's still tentative for 2008. The ever-so-fiscally savvy blog doesn't mention anything pertaining to this.
And when the fuck are we taking news off of blogs and not trade pubs?
Watches. Those with glass lenses on them, I've rarely scratched - at least enough for it to be noticable. I think it's a great move. Thought they were glass out of the starting-gate, glad to hear they switched to it. Plastic is putty in comparrison.
I mention the LCD because I don't know of - um - any LCD displays that display 640x480 native. And when something runs at a non-native resolution, it's - blurrrry.
They could add it to this Monty Python sketch:

re:"the author is one of the leading experts on penguins"
Nice work if you can get it I suppose.
First Old Woman: Well, what's on the television then.
Second Old Woman: Looks like a giant 5 foot tall prehistoric penguin.
First Old Woman: No No No not what's on the television set - I mean what programme?

Nope. Just watched it again twice and there's nothing of which you speak.
Fuck off troll.
I didn't see anything apart from security and open standards that were covered by other sources.
I'd still like final confirmation on video capture (or why it doesn't have it) among other things.
woah woah woah back-up. I haven't heard the low-down on the phone's architecture. Where did you get that? Link-me baby!
Looks like it pays off to have a google member sitting on your board. You get access to the phone's "real" API's.
And before you mod this "redundant" check the times between me and the above post. Same damn time!
Cool! This happen often?

They'll have a green ogre and a fucking donkey fart and shit all over the place for laughs in a crappy cgi epic.
I'm so fucking excited.
re: 1907...Not to mention that the only men-built flying objects he ever saw (if ever) are hot-air baloons.
Jezus FUCK - history is so not well represented here. Get an elementary school refresher course.

Fuck shave off at least 200 years before you cite a date for shit's sake. The 19th century was called the "age of reason" for a REASON.

Fine - but where's bigfoot?
And how does this not apply to Skylab or Mir? Was it only a 3rd crash that counted for anything?
re:"so it will be crap to type on. it's plain common sense"
No it's not. Since you've not tried it - it's not common anything. There were lots of people who wrote off powered flight as well.
I don't usually have to explain something this simple - but I'm always willing to help those who are "slow".
Wow.

You're an asshole.
And man will never fly. It's just common sense.
