Oh, and when the US loses this case, I can't wait for the counter-suit for damages. I would laugh my pants off when the US government is ordered to cover the damages incurred during this farce of a trial. I hope Kim Dotcom takes them to the cleaners and take everything to the max. Get them to pay so obscene amounts that heads will have to roll and the collaboration with the copyright MAFIAA is dropped like a hot potato.
I can think of one problem with this, just because they lose the extradition case, doesn't mean they'll give up their case against him. They can easily hold the case without him being there (Spamhaus comes to mind), and then where is he planning on suing them?
I'd love to see them fix their pricing. I've noticed people have mentioned Tor and Baen, but their pricing was terrible (at least for the author I liked).
For Armenia it is $4.29/min so that would be $257.40/hour, so for a month not stop you are looking at $185,328.(24 hours x30). This is expensive, and vastly more expensive than the original $86,000!
Now mind you they do have plans, but as far as I can see there is no unlimited plan that includes Armenia.
Well except for the fact they aren't charging you for the tool, a third party is. So I doubt they'd care if someone else makes an alternative free program.
I think he meant larger families as in more people alive. So instead of maybe your grandparents being at the family reunion you'll also have your great, and great-great grandparents there!
I know reading the article means I'm new and all, but it was based on both meatspace and cyber.
"Armed with unauthorized access to FISâ(TM)s card platform, the crooks were able to reload the cards remotely when the cash withdrawals brought their balances close to zero."
This was coordinated between people at the ATM and to someone on the FIS network reloading the cards.
So they have no licensing deals, but its still US only?
If they are basically following the strategy that it is easier to ask for forgiveness then permission, why not do it the world over?
Well to be fair the PLATO system didn't modify their logo, they just added a "heart" to the top of the screen.
Google actually makes custom logos.
A better example of prior art would be Blue's News http://www.bluesnews.com/cgi-bin/logos.pl
As you we can see the first christmas logo was for 2000, a few months before google submitted their application.
How many people download mediocre top 40 music? A lot of people. Just because some cover band doesn't get downloaded doesn't mean people don't download thousands of albums just because.
I have a friend who has terabytes of music, do you honestly want to tell me he listens to all of it? I don't think he has enough years left in his life;)
Actually no, RapidShare does host the files you upload to them. They then provide a link you can give to others, and you download directly from their servers.
I don't know about other places but when I worked at a gas station with a Tim Hortons in it, I would always give a free coffee to the cops that showed up on the night shifts. The cops who patrolled this area knew it, and well it made me feel just a little bit safer.

So not direct democracy as not every one would have the ability to vote on things even if they wanted to?
Just wondering where you live that you have monthly inspections on your car? Or are those voluntary inspections?

Latest David Weber Book -

Price of David Weber Book published by Tor (not sure how long its not been available) -
http://www.baenebooks.com/p-601-off-armageddon-reef.aspx - $18
I just don't understand how they think because they are Tor, they should charge 3 times the price!
As he is talking about transit, its safe to assume it is megabit-per-second.
How did you know my pass phrase?
That would be a pretty good rate, is that a voip based?
Here is the price list for Bell Canada.

but they don't use them (mostly) for labor, they just pay to house, feed, entertain, and if they (inmates) want educate them.
Where do we get the free ponies?
Well obviously you have some tolerance for humans to kill others, as you believe they should be killed, but not only killed but tortured first.
So the solution is to start a company and only pay for sex with an adult who is comfortable with you filming it?

The LoC has no mass? No wonder they can store everything!

If you are the person who wants to install a different distribution, I'm pretty sure you'd use a search engine to find a tablet that lets you do that.

Pizza Pizza in Canada lets you schedule a delivery for a later time, don't know how far in advance you can do it as I've never used that option :)

I'm confused, is Ubuntu like WalMart, Amazon or the guy down the road?

Except people will pirate anything, even the crappy stuff (note I love Baen Books :)

Canada is part of the EU?
