    take my gadgets off the side bar and let them "float" in vista as is. Than Again I have a dual monitor setup so I got plenty of real estate for such things. I found the side bar to be obtrusive and when i wanted to click on a folder or something the sidebar would be in my way.

    Same boat My old CCNA class was getting rid of their old hard/software back in i think it was 99 or 2000 I got a dresser FULL of id wager 90% of everything C64/128 i got 3 working C 64s, a working 128D 2 working monitors, cassette drive, 9600B modem,3 1/4 and 5.25 floppy drives and well over 2K disks and manuals.... its still in the dresser... from 9 10 years ago...but its mine!

    no.. when it comes to music when it comes to software yes. growing up i may or may not have gotten most of my software from 3rd parties who may or may not have charged me for them ( i was a kid, how am i gonna pay 1 G for photoshop??) Now that I am a bit older, working in the field, I do still get some software that may or may not have fallen off a truck, but for the most part I do buy my software. Movies and music are a different story

    Let us not forget, Paul and Ringo do not own all the beatles music rights. Micheal Jackson bought a bunch of the rights from nuder Paul... Who was the one who taught him to make sure he holds on to his music rights no less. Im sure that he has either sold/lost most those rights to others and if not he probably needs the cash so is doing this. Without knowing what songs are on it, we dont know who is giving the OK

    I agree completely. I have been with a company for only about 6 months now doing tech support for some DOJ certified software. I had a few options (went to school for netadmin) but when it came down to it the place I am working treats me better, lets me utilize my skills and gives me enough free time to tinker on side projects. Granted I have only been here for a few months, but I also take offense that "all" tech support is nothing other than scrypt reading drones. perhaps level 1 (and 2) for an ISP, but tech support for specialized software/hardware is in a category of its own
