At work we're only now in the midst of transitioning from IE6 to IE8.... A 5-6 week release cycle means I will not be approving the product for mass deployment - simple as that.
What is stopping you from putting 6.0 in today's deployment and 10.0 next year? You said yourself that you don't do browser upgrades and stick with whatever version is released at deployment time.
Can I suggest that you don't repackage and push out every single workstation update that comes your way. Give yourself a fixed schedule with application cutoff time.
And from a business perspective, that's even worse. I get to spend hours trying to figure out why 10,000 workstations are suddenly flaking out on me, and then finally explain to my boss that it was because a "silent update" went out completely untested and unproven.
Please don't tell me you have the check for updates option enabled on 10,000 workstations. With users logging in with user permissions it should be difficult for them to enable this.
I honestly don't care how much energy Sergey and Larry use: we'd get a thousand times farther if we reduced the energy footprint of the average American by a tenth of a percent than we will bitching at Google founders until they implement every green technology known to man. Just accept that they're flawed, self-righteous, and hypocritical and move on.
Individual USians use 39% of power consumption compared to commercial and industrial users. The "average" American probably already uses less energy than upper middle class and the rich. That's for a different study.
Once these 10 to 20 leaders are dead i'm sure all those people in death squad training camps will go right back to working in McDonalds or some other type of desk job. They definitely have the hunger and skillset to become a corporate executive.
I will assume that it will still work. You could test it out by blocking them in your hosts file. The problem I have is that development for new browsers will stop. You can always edit the install.rdf file to make it compatible but that might lead to instability.
I would also like to see the comparison in lifestyles of the 999 that dropped out and failed to the 1 that stayed in college and failed. For some reason I think those definitions of failed aren't the same.
Why do they even bother putting a question mark beside China when they only report one country in Africa? I could have sworn they had the internet in South Africa. Maybe im wrong.
It will cost more to purchase this chip though. Not because of production costs but because of the implementation of this program. They will not have to hire people to either answer phones to give you a code or hire programmers to create a web app. It adds little value for more cost.
This is the best investment made for my bike and cost less than $20 CAN. There is no car horn louder than it and its easily refillable using your bike pump. Its great in getting attention of cars because it sounds like a large truck is barreling down on them. I still have a bell for pedestrians but have no qualms using it at close range when about to get the door prize.
Living in Beijing you must know that there is no such thing as lanes. Lines on the road are mere suggestions as to which direction you should be traveling. Thinking people wont consistently drive stratlting one of the tracks is naive of the designer.
The only disagreement i have is when you say "don't go out much". I think you mean don't go out and spend too much money. You can still go out and enjoy parks or being social with other people. You just dont need to spend the money at those functions.
It probably has to do with severity. Accusing somebody in China of copyright infringement is like accusing them that they gave you a warm can of pop. Get over it. There are more important things to worry about like countries dumping oil into the ocean.
I'll agree with you on all of those. For me the best thing about PowerShell on windows7 is that it supports multi-hop authentication (CredSSP). Being able to simultaneously send out a job to 1000 computers to run an msi install from another server and complete this on all within a minute is what im looking for.
According to those news article dates, they aren't even half way thought the hardware refresh schedule. Looks like this little oversight by project planners is going to cost them. If they don't get sued, the cheapest way coulde be the manpower to break the DMCA and hack the things. Not sure if Sony's license allows you to flash the firmware with an older version. Otherwise, ebay for old models or start looking for replacement hardware. Although, perhaps doing nothing and letting them die out, its a cluster remember, won't have much of an impact beyond RAM and HD problems.
In my city, the merc's and bmw's with handicap signs don't tend to park in legal parking spots. They park wherever they want.
So I rename "song.mp3" to "song.mp3.DRM" and share it. This is my crappy solution for DRM. Rename that file and I can sue for damages?!?

Rogers has had caps for a couple of years. On my plan its $1.25/GB to a maximum of $50 after the allotted 95G/month.
Ironically their FAQ page domain is keepingpace.ca?!?!

1) The community has a fix for the exploit [ http://obamapacman.com/2010/08/cydia-pdf-loading-warner-helps-prevent-ios-security-hole-exploit/ ] 2) As you mentioned, when 4.1 or 4.0.1 is released just upgrade and jailbreak

There is still the possibility that the child is born a hermaphrodite and will be of both genders.

Every intersection in my city has a crosswalk timer display. I can tell you exactly when the light will turn red.
Does that mean I can blog about a sports game and claim copyright over the score?? Goodbye sports section.
I think i'd rather buy Chinese since I can't be extradited to China.

I call BS as there must be one African country that is worse than Canada in enforcing copyright law.

My friend, what you spell out is how terrorist organizations work around the world. Sometimes there are big targets, but the small ones are just as powerful if not moreso. Your list looks like its straight out of the IRA playbook.
