But unless I see one of those two scenarios, I just cruise home while chatting hands-free with my wife. And it's wonderful.
Its not extreme. If you have ever driven on the highway in a snowy climate I am sure you have driven into a section of the highway that has open fields on both sides. This causes the snow to drift onto the highway covering the lane markers. Humans would slow down and continue to drive where they believe the lane exists. If you aren't the first person then you would follow the tire tracks of the previous cars. Stopping isn't an option and would be ludicrous.
The driverless car has to deal with this scenario as it is an everyday event during winter months. The car can't give up and stop in a live lane. The car can't just hand over the wheel at a moments notice when going 100km/h. You can't cop out and say that the car can't drive in snow.
This just isn't the way that NK has done things in the past. In the past they've been quick to take credit for any hacking they've done. It just doesn't make sense to go through all the trouble to threaten Sony to not release the movie, hack them, then not take credit for it.
Remember that time when people were told to vote with their wallets?
Seems like people don't know what happened, don't care what happened, or more likely don't know how it can hurt them.
Don't worry though, in 2011, after the last big hack, Sony changed their Terms & Conditions so that you^H^H^H they would have limited damages in the future.
I started with a Phantom 2 (non-Vision) and it was also easy to fly. What I was recommended to do was to use Quadcopter FX Simulator before purchase. It helped a lot to get oriented with the controls.
And then in 2012 these guys bought 75% in MLSE who own the Toronto Maple Leafs, Toronto Raptors, Toronto FC.... and around 6 stadiums that they either own, invest and operate, or are invested in. They've gone complete vertical in the Toronto market.
Yes, its the same idea as cell phone usage. You get a certain up/down speed and a bandwidth cap. Based on the pricing, the GP is likely talking about Teksavvy who leases their cable and DSL lines from either Rogers and Bell.
Still not hipster enough. I don't need 90% of what your fancy Nokia 2610 can do. I have a watch that doesn't need to be charged and can be used as an alarm clock! If I need to make fancy phone calls I can use my landline.
Kids also need clothes to wear, regular bathing, a bed to sleep, and other meals of the day. If you are unable to provide those things the government can and will. You just have to sign over your rights as the parent.
To be clear, you don't want the IRS to have the power to prosecute those who don't pay their taxes or are fraudulent in reporting them? If that's what you meant I would ask that you rethink the consequences of having no repercussions for not paying your taxes.
You don't happen to work for one of those big US telecom companies like AT&T or Comcast do you? Is that why you want to get rid of the FCC regulations and those pesky Net Neutrality folks?
They can track it day and night, the phone will never get used whether I'm behind the wheel or in my house:-) I can't wait.
Good luck with that. Where I live an odometer reading is required as well as the occasional drive clean test for plate renewal. Let us know what they say when you report the same reading each year.
State laws govern the possession and use of firearms in Australia. These laws were largely aligned under the 1996 National Firearms Agreement (NFA). Anyone wishing to possess or use a firearm must have a Firearms Licence and, with some exceptions, be over the age of 18. Owners must have secure storage for their firearms.
Each firearm in Australia must be registered to the owner by serial number. Some states allow an owner to store or borrow another person's registered firearm of the same category.
With a car 'improvise' is generally stop or swerve or avoid, it's not like these cars have to win at chess.
Stop or swerve to avoid doesn't resolve driving on snow covered roads. All they've dealt with so far is directional driving. Nobody has mentioned anything to do with traction. So far other companies technology involves winter tires and transmission modes to prevent slipping when accelerating. This this car requires an AI than can improvise. It has to know that the hill you are about to go up is snow covered which means you have to gun it and not stop, otherwise you will get stuck. Its the type of things they don't teach you on the driving test.
The computer can't just hand over control to the human without adequate warning. If you are barreling down the highway at 55mph and the computer decides its in a situation it cant control I dont think it can just say "here ya go bud, good luck". Bringing the car to a stop in a live lane is not a good idea either.
Im guessing more than 90% were in sunny highway conditions. Call me when its driven more than 100 miles on a snow covered highway through a blizzard at night and the sensors haven't frozen over. Snow season is on its way.
So you would rather your car is unsafe to everyone else?
Next you are going to tell us that its not safe to stop at red lights. Im surprised that there aren't millions killed each year attempting their driving test. What are these scenarios that its not safe to drive the speed limit? Are there flying monkeys involved?
I think you are asking should we pay with money via a subscription or one time payment, but its not clear. Current users of Slashdot are paying with their time and bandwidth when looking at ads.
I have several accounts that are not tied to me but to my employment. Several people access these accounts using the one password. Do biometric systems allow for registering multiple people to one account?

Good points. Only counter is that it might give away your position more easily.

Didn't they say they solved this in 2001? /s
The best defense against car thieves is a beater.
Well duh, how do you think Microsoft got Azure into the cloud??
In Canada the mega-congolmerates control the news and the cables it runs on. Just look at the big 2

Here is an example of Rogers pricing: http://www.rogers.com/web/link...

The political side would make more sense if Scotland was greatly different than UK culturally
Oh no you didn't!

And Virginia, California, and Colorado are at the top of the "FU America Law".
I heard that Virginia once tried to break up the US and even went to war with them! How un-American they are.

Obviously you arent driving a unicorn.
Yes, but in all fairness those places dont have cars, they have unicorns. I seem to have lost my citation on that, do you happen to have it?
