So, you've already made your choice based on incomplete information and FUD? These are Japanese game prices, not American prices. And the whole thing with Gran Turismo:HD? This is all based on a rather poor translation of a Famitsu article, one which also contains a lot of incomplete information.

GT:HD Classic will be Gran Turismo 4 in hi-def. Nobody knows what actually comes with it. Heck, there's the chance that everything that's already in 4 will still be in GT:HD Classic. Then the only thing you're spending extra money on is... EXTRA cars and tracks. People who say that you'll be paying full price for just menus and you have to buy everything else... THEY'RE MAKING IT UP. They don't know what's actually going to happen and they're bashing Sony just for the sake of bashing Sony.

GT:HD Premium is the equivalent of the Prologue games that have been out there for the other Gran Turismo titles. It'll be the preview for Gran Turismo 5. The proper GT5 will be released in 2007, supposedly.

How has the 360 version been at all downgraded? Sure, the game can look a LITTLE bit better on a current PC... if you have an absolute beast of a machine with a 7800 GTX SLI setup.

I'll concede the point about bugs, however. It's one of the reasons (besides mods and the mouse and keyboard control scheme) that I'm purchasing the PC version of the game.

"4. Publicize that history shows we never embrace new media. This is true for silent movies, radio, pulp magazines, comic books and every new music wave including Mozart. Videogames are not the devil incarnate, and not capable of half the deviltry our critics claim for them."

Do they actually think that will help them at all? Television, Music and Movies are still being constantly bashed by the same people who are ragging on video games right now, and largely for the same reasons.

The only reason that video games are taking it a bit harder (at least in ways that are publicized) right now is because they're even bigger with children right now than the preceeding examples. Rock albums and rap albums are still being persecuted, networks still recieve hundreds if not thousands of complaints every time a new episode of CSI is aired, and the movie industry is constantly criticized by the same people every time something other than "The Passion of the Christ" or "The Chronicles of Narnia" is released.

Did I actually say they owed me anything? I'm just bitter and disappointed that they've shifted their development so firmly towards the Microsoft console. Many of the games they've been producing for this platform are actually better suited to the PC platform - especially games which are first person oriented like Mass Effect.

I've yet to see anyone show how KOTOR works better on the X-Box than it does on the PC. Just the freedom of control brought on by the mouse and keyboard combined with the huge graphics upgrade (a modest card and processor at the time could easily max the game out and add AA and AF) is insane.

How has Obsidian moved at all towards the X-Box? Their releases of (the incomplete) KOTOR II for the X-Box and the PC were very close together, and while I'm not positive, I think that Neverwinter Nights 2 will be a PC exclusive.

In a much shorter statement: The games that Bioware develops seem (to me) to be best suited towards the PC platform (especially anything with a first-person perspective), and it disappoints me that they are now X-Box (360) exclusives.

    >Don't waste your money. The 360 is getting the crappy version. EA is making the real next gen version for the PS3. EA seems to really have something against MS. I think it's more to do with getting product out the door. >The pc version is the only one to get. Only an idiot would get the gimped 360 version and miss out on the killer mod community. While I generally agree that the PC version of Oblivion will be a superior product, when it comes to graphics, you'll only have a better looking game if you've spent a minimum of $300 already on a graphics card. There are plenty of reasons to play the game on the 360. Not to mention that with the hard drive, you'll be able to download and use official mods released by Bethesda. >I am honestly shocked by how bad the 360's graphics have turned out to be. Not only are they no better than a decent gaming pc, they are riddled with graphics problems. Jaggies all over the place, lack of affine filtering, tearing problems, low frame rates. ATI really botched things badly for MS. I don't want to think how bad 360 games are going to look comapred to pc games a year from now. Blame the developers rushing products out the doors (and the fact that these are FIRST generation games), not ATI. The graphics chip in the 360 is plenty powerful - the equivalent PC version would cost almost as much as a 360 on it's own. What the heck is this affline filtering you're talking about? Are you speaking of anisotropic filtering? Or anti-aliasing? I'm not a fan of the 360 myself, but if you're going to bash it, try to think out your arguments a bit more.

I'm growing increasingly bitter towards them. Yes, Dragon Age is still supposedly coming for the PC, but other than that, it seems as if they have completely abandoned PC gamers for X-BOX land. Jade Empire will never be coming our way, and it seems as if the same will be true of Mass Effect - even though it's a first-person oriented game.
