I am so sick of hearing about boot times. WHO FUCKING CARES ABOUT SHAVING A FEW SECONDS OFF BOOT TIMES? Sorry for shouting, but boot times and shut down times are a fucking stupid metric to judge an OS upon. The same fucktards who care about boot times install their entire OS on an SSD when in reality, _after_ booting, read-access from the "os partition" is essentially zero.
Why on Earth is this tagged "idle"? And why are most of the comments jokes? Well, most likely there's lots of jokes because it's "idle". Are there any actual nerds still here?
These are neodymium magnets that stick together quite strongly. If two are swallowed they run the risk of coming within close proximity to each other while passing through separate parts of the intestines and clamping them together. Only way to remove them at that point is surgery.
That's not to say the other things you mentioned don't run a risk of getting stuck, or that these will get stuck. By being rare earth magnets they set themselves up for causing problems in the twisty path of our lower digestive tract.
Yes, that makes sense. Thanks. I'd mod you up but I've obviously commented;)
This doesn't make sense. So, you're allowed to sell stuff like beads, ball bearings, tiny pieces of lego, screws, nuts, bolts, pebbles, and a trillion other small things but not these magnets? I'm a little bit confused.
Ok. So this is the level that/. has sunk to, where nearly every poster says they have not heard of Steve Mann. Maybe it's time I left this place; I no longer belong.
Are the "electric shocks" that occur after (or even without) cessation of SSRIs a "conversive disease"? I ask only because no neurologist, or psychiatrist, or general prac that I've personally spoken to even admit it's they are a true phenomenon. They say it cannot be true because CAT,. MRI, and other etc neuroimaging methods show nothing. So I guess those millions of people who do suffer from them are making it up, or have somehow been "infected" through a "conversive disease" (??)

LOL. Yeah possibly, but gumnuts are different:p I think the epicormic buds are sometimes referred to colloquially simply as "epicorms" which is probably where the confusion/typo arose in the OPs comment

Acorns? I think the term you're looking for is epicormic bud.
I wonder if the decline is real, or if it's a sampling error. From the paper:
We estimated moose numbers and age/sex ratios by flying transects within a stratified random sample of survey plots (Figure 1). Survey plots were last stratified in 2009.
Could the stratification of plots be a source of error? I am not sure. They did account for viability bias:
We accounted for visibility bias by using a sightability model (Giudice et al. 2012).
But, did they properly account for a number of other sources of error (e.g. migration; herd location; etc)? I'm not saying their method is flawed, just that I cannot tell from the paper whether or not other reasons for the change in data.
Yeah, I believe it's possible as well, but it takes some work and also requires you to first realise that you do have unconscious biases. I'm not sure how that leads to the conclusion "which means they remain invisible to self-analysis and impermeable to intelligence" though.

Australians tend to be gullible, and heavily rely on group think. If you think something other than the obvious what the media says, prepare to be insulted while patiently trying to articulate your point.
Most Australians would be OK with this because they will believe it is for the greater good and serves some purpose. If this is even on their radar. Historically they are more concerned with essentially inconsequential things like tuition increases or workchoices.

Bullshit. Maybe the people you hang out with rely on group think, but that's not typical in my experience. Possibly the lower class rely on "group think" but I imagine that would be the same in any country you care to visit.
I actually quite enjoyed Crysis. Crysis 2, however, had none (or very little) of the freedom that I enjoyed in Crysis. I played Crysis through twice: once as basically an assault character who took fairly direct routes, and the second time as a sniper who travelled stealthily and for the most part didn't stick to the established/expected route at all. I don't think that would be possible in Crysis 2 -- it all seemed much, much more linear (and I didn't even bother finishing the game).
Emperor penguins show as single or multiple pixels in the panchromatic band. Where penguins are dispersed, individuals can be identified and counted. However, in the majority of cases penguins group into close clusters and their shadows overlap, meaning that individuals cannot be differentiated and a different approach is needed.
So it's not really as easy as it may first appear.
I was playing the other night and had a courier come up to me naked O_o. Shortly after that some old woman in Morthal was sweeping her deck naked. Fortunately 'naked' means they both still had their underwear on. I took screenshots though because it was damn funny. Anyway, I married Jordis the Sword-Maiden... Lydia was annoying me too much by standing in doorways, jumping in front of me when I was doing a power attack and therefore dying because I decapitated her, jumping in front of my shouting so she was blasted off mountain tops. She also has a bad habit of just going off wandering and getting lost leaving me anxious for her safety. I was fighting a giant once and turned around and she was standing on top of a mammoth... WTF, Lydia?! Anyway Jordis is just annoying but at least she can fight, looks vaguely like a Lydia with blonde hair, and can sneak in a building without knowing entire cabinets of kettles and pots over.
Don't worry. My character is level 53 (or maybe 54 now) and I think I've only done about 6 main quests, but lots (and lots!) of side quests. Perhaps I am too easily distracted by catching blue butterflies and collecting blisterwort for my potions.

Nope ... methodology is in fact the correct word here, meaning a system or set of methods
"open source development methodology" refers to a framework or system not individual steps or methods so is absolutely fine to use
your definition is by far the minority usage of the word
I may be in the minority but there is no escaping the meaning of the suffix "-ology".
There is nothing that infuriates me more
[...] a persistent problem with the open source development methodology.
Methodology is the "study of method". The correct word is method
Thanks

It may be tough to learn, but it has enough software written in it to prove its wirth.
I'm not sure Wirth had much to do with Erlang.
