    If these people are influential or media folks as it says, then they probably have tons of requests all the time. They are "important" people that love to be heard. The more followers/friends/whatever they have the better. They aren't going to spend a lot of time sifting through the requests to see who's real or not.

    According to an update in TFA, that WP7-like tile interface is non-optional.

    So I think we should rejoice, because if it continues to be non-optional, it will effectively kill Windows on the Desktop in favour of systems that actually allow their users to, you know, *do* stuff with their computer.

    I'm actually re-reading the books right now. I just finished Life, the universe and everything, and am starting on so long and thanks for all the fish. I hadn't read them in about 10 years and i'm right there with you, makes me want to watch the old BBC version again!

    that's like saying calculus is easy just because you know how to do it, and someone more, ignorant if you will, would have to be shown how to use it. you grew up with computers, so you know the ways to manipulate a comptuer already. Todays OS's are VASTLY more complex than, say, DOS

    dammit I'm all out of mod points! I wish i could just have my cable provider cancel stations like E! because there is NOTHING OF VALUE there. But unfortunately, Google is a business, and it aims for what the masses want (and will bring in ad revenue). Intelligent people that dont obsess over the personal lives of people they don't/will never know are a definite minority.

    Orly? So if I leave all of my information unprotected on my laptop and it gets stolen, all I have to do is contact my ISP and everything is safe? And here I thought encryption, passwords, etc were helping, I'm, such, a, fool!,!,!,!,!
