  1. The things I have seen... on The Pornographers vs. The Pirates · · Score: 1

The porn industry is truly amazing in many rights in regards to the way it's content is protected. It's almost a self-policing industry. Everybody pretty much know's who's is what in regards to content, especially niche content(insert_niche_here). The air is thin at the top. Don't be surprised to see "Barry the one-legged albanian pimp" show up at your door with something semi-automatic(although concealed) if you poach his content; seriously.

For the bit of, er, *things* I have, umm *archived*(yeh, archived) I don't feel like I have stolen anything. These people have been robbing everyone including themselves and those that share their *ideals* for a loonnnngggg time. It's funny, nobody ever talks about the people within those industries that have short-changed other artists; and not just the big-name headliner, but the lighting man or sound man, the hairstylist or caterer. In fact I don't even THINK the entertainment industry can be profitable without robbing someone or a lot of someone's. I dare you to ask for a refund after a sucky flick, or after the album you just dropped $20+ on sucks. Although on that same hand, different side, I dare you work on a sound or lighting gig and come with some, "Where's my check?!", or "How come the last check bounced?!", or my favorite(the one I know the best)"Nah, sorry, the check didn't come in yet...". I promise you that you will find a reaction that feels nothing less than the kiss of death. The consumer get's screwed with over-hyped, bad content, sure; but the guys that have to feed families and work on a contract to contract basis are at the mercy of the content provider(s). The industry has created an illegal science of robbing those that help them the most. And the only thing that is/can be said is "That's show-business." (breathes from inhaler)

I also smell a conspiracy with the stench of something much more insidious. Let's *just say* that these guys are/were successful with starting a political party that was recognized by a government, any government, do you know how dangerous that is to the status quo? In my mind it can only run BETTER than what they showed at E3 and present their customers with a pleasant surprise in terms of raw power and functionality. Does it strike you as odd that the brain(pentagon)of any strategic operation this country carries out militarily HAS ONLY 1 CAMERA AT THE ENTRANCE?!! And that camera will not show point of impact. I have an even better question...how do you fit a plane that is 231.5ft long with a 211ft wing span into a hole that is 70+ft wide with a depth of impact that is 24ft deep? Or how do you have a plane that is fully fueled before it exploded NOT EVEN SINGE A BOOK OR THE SHELF IT IS SITTING ON?! You don't, they're lying, and we are letting them do it. I'm not bashing this game in any way, shape, or form(I love it)but all the same it is not without its host of issues, performance and gameplay wise(crashes and level up schema, maybe more)for Xbox users getting dirty disk errors, that is a slap in the face to them. For PC users and the CTD issues, etc. it is a slap in the face to them as well. Essentially some, if not most of these issues(for PC)can be solved with some .INI editing, but this is NOT the case for Xbox users. And then, after 2wks retail to attempt to sell horse armor for the price of 2 beers(that I would drink playing Elder Crack)in spite of all I just said, crosses the brink of utter disrespect for customers, fan boys, and even small animals that lurk about randomly. I have no problem either for pay-to-enhance, but $2?! I mean, 25c yeah sure, but do I also get matching wagon for that armor? Long and short of it is, if you want to charge even $5-$15 for new areas, expanded quest's, new races, new play mechanics(what does the horse need armor for if there's no horse-mounted combat?)then I'll gladly pay. Although I'm not shorting myself on a 6 pack for 2 skins and a mesh.

Even better, now you can be selective in a way that you never could be before the night you met your significant other. Truth be told the reason that the women that *are* threatened by pr0n is due to the fact that most of the women on these sites look like your next door neighbor, a person you or they may work with, a random pretty passerby, I even dare say a member of either's family. That is most dangerous part of all. If I were a woman I would find it very difficult to have to measure up to my partner's constantly changing taste's in females, or see him fap to a picture of some chick that looks likes my best friend, mom, or mail-woman...Though all the same, being as the primary demographic here is composed of males; I would think that *I* being a male of course, would find it highly threatening if I knew that my wife/gf was fapping at pictures of a dude that looked rather familiar (CHARLIE! IS THAT YOU CHARLIE MURPHY?)with a 12'+ "staff of thrusting"...All I'm saying is that we all like/love porn, but if your in a relationship where you do and she doesn't(like porn)or even vice-versa, nothing beats a good conversation about the topic(OF SEX!)while having a drink followed immediately by a trip your local sex shop:D 2c-...nah...this is worth 200c-)

Essentially, they treat their customers no differently than a player treats an NPC, which to me is scary. As dense as we are as consumers, is evenly measured by just how intrinsically inclined we are as individuals(and animals)to preserve our inherent nature. What these institutions do, and have seemingly succeeded in doing, is programming or creating another manifestation of human nature that serves only the institution and not the individual. This has backfired. People are waking up from their slumber, slowly my friends, and now after years of being under their submission and just graciously *accepting* what they deem approriate for us to see and hear to provide us with stimuli(and not even good stimuli as of late)Now we as a people collectively will take back what belongs to us rightfully for every bad movie with plastic, lifeless, actors; coupled with equally plastic and lifeless plots and storylines, or every *good* CD that contains 20 tracks and yet only 2 are good, 1 mediocore, and 17 that are absymal.
