82 in the winter???? MAN! Even in shorts I'd be sweating like mad. I do about 67 with a humidifier running that takes it to 70. Humidity makes it all feel warmer. In summer it would be ok because a AC acts as a dehumidifier and has a drain somewhere. Humidity being low making it feel cooler, like in the winter when humidity is low, it feels even colder. But 82 in winter? That's would cost me $300+ a month and I only have 400 more sq. ft. then you.
Not sure how it is by you, but police by me get paid DEARLY considering the low amounts of danger they face in suburbia. Inner city cops get lots less and face danger 100x more then any suburban police.
Even sadder is when the suburban cop retires and gets paid close to $100K or more in retirement benefits a year while we keep taking from teachers salaries because police and fire are such a "drain" on the system. Police is the biggest shock to a system considering they bring in revenue from tickets and fines, yet still ask for more and more and more tax dollars.
Wait, what kind of officer that isn't the biggest idiot in the world would question a suspect in a crime without a pat down? You know, S.O.P.??? If one didn't pat them down and got shot, it's his own dam fault for being stupid and not following his training.
And if you are wasting time writing 5mph over tickets that cost $150+ and can't figure out why people hate you then I can see why you wouldn't think to pat down a suspect before questioning. 5mph tickets anywhere except in subdivisions and school zone are nothing but money grabs by local PD's to suck the public dry. Around here the police would be run out of town if they trying pulling that scam.
Really? You didn't take that statement as a generalization? It was meant to infer that some are not fit for ANY high level of education job.
I know you were not the first to post something like this, but really, don't you live in this country? There are countless people that I run in to almost every day that I would even want doing more then simple labor for fear that they might hurt themselves or others. That is the simple reality of the matter. Not every student is fit for high level jobs that require strong thinking skills or high level education. When I say high level education, I mean a college degree, which might not be high level to some, but for kids that are struggling to get out of high school, college is unobtainable. For other, even trade schools are too much.
So are you saying that you don't understand a need to keep low skill jobs in the US? Sounds like you need a tour of a local high school to understand that not all students are destined for upper management these days. Maybe if you said the days of high paying low skill jobs are not sustainable anymore, that would make sense. But to say this country doesn't need a lower level working class seems to indicate you have little grasp of what our economy needs.
I don't think the GM bailout was the best thing, but many good things have come from it, far more then other industries that the government has bailed out in the past.
Possible. All the ones in my area (about 6 or so that I have been to) have the same prices. They do carry different things between different locations. The closest one to me have a interesting habit of getting rid of things that seem to sell well. I have given up asking because they always say ALL Krogers stopped carrying those items, only to see it at another location farther away.
I will say they have good prices on milk sometimes, with the card of course. But things like cookies, crackers, soda and others I can always find cheaper elsewhere. Sometimes $1.50 less elsewhere.
It would be nice is these discount card at Krogers actually gave you a discount. All it is, is the normal price at other stores that don't have this discount card scam running. You'd think if they are selling info and making money on it, then they could actually give a decent price on items, but as far as Krogers goes, they are WAY over priced on many, many items. At least the ones in my area are.
YEAH! Cause I would never think of the French ever being egocentric!
Their "humour" is Jerry Lewis and that guy is funny! Oh......wait.......no he isn't? The french are some of the rudest, most egocentric people on earth??? Oh, well........at least they got that toast thing going for them. What's not to love about french toast, unless you have a egg allergy or a wheat allergy? Well they did bring us the LE CAR. Those Yogo's had nothing on them LE CARS!
Americans are not addicted to buying shiny junk if they have to replace it time and again. Most items are grossly over priced considering the cost of labor that goes in to products built in china, certainly when they cost as much as when those object were made in the US. I don't know anyone that isn't concerned about buying a lower priced product. If they were not, then brands like Samsung, Sony, and even Apple would not be around. The off brands that a WAY cheaper would become the dominate brands. They don't because people don't want to keeping having to by a product over and over again when it breaks. You can only get a person to buy a crappy product so many times if quality and breakage seems to happen quite frequently.
So I guess my remembrance of Pelosi and Franks pushing for glass steagall to go away so they could get bad loans out there for people that shouldn't have received them, for way more then they could afford is not correct? It wasn't them pushing for it to be dissolved in order to appease the banking industry that was kissing their asses? Hell, Franks had a boyfriend working at one of the lending backers, but it was someone else pushing that, right? Surprise indeed.
HLS has no oversight in it's spending and taking away some of it's powers is seen as a attack on the unchecked funding it receives.
Frontline had a interesting story titled Are We Safer? where it seems pretty clear the things in the Patriot Act do not make us safer and that HLS is just as dysfunctional as what we had before 9/11.
It's one thing to get caught saying such things about a friend, but when a employer is keeping tabs on a person's personal life outside work, then they are overstepping their boundaries. It's would be like saying the employer should be able to wiretap the employee's phone just in case they say something bad about the company. If you think that's cool, go move to a country where that is "cool"
It was cool for a gimmick, but beyond the first 20 minutes of the film, nothing in 3-D was impressive to me. There was a little at the end, but even the falling of the tree was less then spectacular, the flying didn't really benefit from 3-D as optically stunning and in countless battle scenes the 3-D wasn't even noticeable. Move alll that to a TV and the less then spectacular becomes 10 fold.
The only 3-D I have ever seen that made me say wow was that inside of a Disney park, but I would imagine that the cost to bring that to massive amounts of theaters would be too high, even through the first time I saw it was as far back as 1986. In 1986 it was still 100'rds more times impressive then the drivel that is 3-D in theaters now.
Oh that's right. I am supposed to blindly accept all the ramblings of the messiah because it is racist otherwise, right? Thank god..... or I mean thank which ever religious or spiritual essence you believe in that we have such political masterminds like you in the world to shed light on things. Put yourself on the back if you like for your job well done. I am surprised the sun rises even on days you sleep in.
Surprised Pres. Obama didn't deflect the question with "but we got some pandas in our fancy zoos locked in for 5 more years, so win some lose some".
Really do you think Obama will push the issue at all? With all the issues the US has with China, the first few days of Hu's visit resulted in nothing but securing pandas for zoos for a few more years. Whoop dee fucking doo!
If Ballmer thinks anything will be done on this front, he is stupider then I thought.
I hate when flash or adobe reader or java updates then asks me everytime if I want some stupid toolbar they are pushing for whatever company. It's just like every program that wants to add something in the sys tray or in start-up so that it "launches faster".
I think just about everyone is fine with using the search bars included with whatever browser you use and everyone is fine with it taking 10 seconds longer for a program to load and skip the 30 second slow down that happens at boot for some stupid programs "quick launch" bar.

Generac Guardian are the ones to get. Cadillac of the industry with reasonable pricing.
The ability to jailbreak a device has little to do with it's security.
Yeah there are about as many cops that have the smarts of a lawyer as there are lawyers that are good mechanics.
Not sure how it is by you, but police by me get paid DEARLY considering the low amounts of danger they face in suburbia. Inner city cops get lots less and face danger 100x more then any suburban police.

Goat is the most widely consumed meat in all the world. Look it up.
Bernie Madoff only needed peoples money to ensure they got the most potential for their investments.

WOW goatse is better then Tammy Faye Baker? Guess that's why her husband had that "affair" that ignited the PTL scandal.
I hear all photos come out like this!

So if your kid picked his nose would you want national legislation to stop him from picking his nose too?
Here's a thought. Tell him no maybe? I would hate for you to ruin the "friendship" you have with your son, but it's you SON not your friend.
