What does NASA care that this guy launched a rocket?
From the tone of the article, it sounds like they were impressed and/or curious. Any other articles you want me to read for you?
Only thing is that's a myth.
Previously, Russia used grease pencils, and NASA used mechanical pencils that were more expensive than the pens that Fisher pen co. developed with their own money. Russia also ended up using the Fisher pens http://history.nasa.gov/spacepen.html
Well, this is idle.. it's almost always disappointing. I think everyone has thought of doing this with their SSID.. (at least everyone that's aware it can be changed.. which is probably everyone that reads/.)
Here in New England, it sure seems like they already pick the next forecast out of a hat.. I think more randomness may actually make the forecasts more accurate

Another clue is that 5 seconds into the video he says "It's built out of expanded PVC, like Ben's"
This is very true.. There's a bin right near my desk at work for recycling printouts that contain sensitive information. It probably holds about 5000 sheets of paper and gets emptied weekly. Plus, we pay to have it shredded by a mobile shredding service. There's also the issue of cover sheets that contain nothing but a user ID that just gets tossed right into the recycling bin.
This would be great for meetings where everyone gets a printed copy of the agenda. As soon as I get back to my desk, I have no need for it since it's all stored electronically to begin with. Almost all printed documentation becomes obsolete in a few days when you're working on a project.
Yes, replying to my own post. Ernesto from torrentfreak sent me the email conversation he had with Mark back in November. It's possible he just forgot. I guess I can sympathize... I can barely remember what I did last weekend.
North American car owners prefer automatics because you can't eat a cheeseburger and talk on the phone while applying makeup & reading the newspaper if you're driving stick.
pffff.. I'm doing all that *and* posting on slashdot while driving a stick
It's odd that they don't map it to the SysRq key by default. I use the BlueZone 3270 emulator and it's mapped to Ctrl + Q by default. Do you use the Hummingbird emulator? (now OpenText?)
Are you thinking of the Pause key? Scroll Lock is supposed to toggle the arrow keys between scrolling the screen and moving the cursor... and also to drive me insane when I accidentally hit it then try to write an email in Lotus Notes *cringe*

Toyota tried this... didn't work out so well.
they wouldn't have to.. the first and last few ccs contain methanol when distilling.

It seems the drugs may have burned out the humor detection part of your brain
Weather forecasters [...] also use random numbers

So it would only have to emulate the process that turns the white areas to black. The pen doesn't need to create any white areas

Something odd someone pointed out in the comments of that article - Mark Mulligan says he never spoke with torrentfreak

That's great if all you need to draw is stairs
I accidentally searched for "boobie board" on amazon.. Needless to say, that turned up some interesting results. "BOOBIE BALLOONS FLESH" wtf?
To anyone that hasn't seen this video before, count the number of times the basketballs are passed from one person to another.

We were saying we can't make money from trying to have normal people build games on it.
Well, if you're looking for abnormal people, you have come to the right place, my friend.
Not to be pedantic, but this is slashdot.. please rewrite your analogy to reference parking lots, size of parking spaces, and... cars.
