Second: There is apparetnly a update to the HD DVD drive for the 360 sometime next year. Being in teh HD DVD industry i know this is a good thing for compatablity, cuase the 360 is a horrible HD DVD player, but perhaps they might be using this to create support for HD DVD game titles too! What is the limitation of why they can't play titles right now off that drive? Is it only software or is it hardware issues?
From what I've heard PS2 games looked horrible on the PS3 due to scaling issues, so i'm wondering that while you lose 100% backwards compatibility losing the hardware chip you could potentially gain better scaling with software emulation with updates. is this the case, or should i go and find me a 60gb?
So this all sounds just like the early years of the PS2. OMG it costs too much, and OMG there are no games. OMG, the xbox looks better. Ya, but look at it now. I'm still playing the games on my PS2 more then the 360 right now, and so what if the 360 has a lead now. It makes sence. Its eazier to program for and its market is already set up. when it comes time for the next gen games like GTAV, and others. They will be on the PS3 first and they will look better then the 360 and in 5 years from now I will still have my PS3 and it will be awesome not that all the teams figured out how to program for it while all the 360 games look just the same as they do now. Say all you guys want about coffins, you are just sheep of the marketing machine. Look at history, it will repeat it's self. Oh ya, and BD won. You just dont know it yet.
Sony has removed the BD drive, wifi, Bluetooth, and half of the cells from the powerful IBM cell processor and is now selling the newly branded "PS3 n00b" to compeat with microsofts recently announced 360 Elite.
I totally agree... I hate having to quest to get up, then quest to take a shower just to quest to drive to work and do more meaningless tasks so that I can just quest to pay my rent and eat food. I guess in the end i'm rewarded with sex, but then that just starts all the quests over again and I look like a ass hole agian!

Thanks for setting me stright on something I do in fact know more about then you do. BTW, here's a mind blower... Heel Toe shifting is the same as Heel toe brakeing. Oh and here's a BONUS for your ass... I also left foot brake doing it. Figure that one out smart ass.
I am completely outraged at how my kids are playing a game where the only way to lvl is to smoke pot in the back room, Yell profranities at teachers and break school property!
As someone who works in this world of too many video standards I have found that almost no one gets it.
As for this artical, all it proves is that Sony did it right, while microsoft did it wrong. You DO NOT want upconverstion ever!!! If your source is 720p thne you want it delieved to your TV as 720p, if your source is 1080i, you DO NOT want it delivered to your tv as 1080P. You also do no want HD source delieved though component video 4:2:2 to your TV. While it does do the job, it will not supress future HDCP protection.
So in closing... Sony did it right, and microsoft blew it. I should know, I was on the iHD HDDVD side of the wall for a long time. It might be a better Disc spec, but microsoft basicly did everything in their power to make the format fail, and sony learned a importaint lesson from the PS2 making the DVD #1 10 years ago.
Back in 93' I mowed with a tractor a RHCP logo into my field that was over 10 Acers... It was not only visible by traffic flying into San Jose but also from space. SO.. I'm suing!
Accually, you can almost still see it after the grass grew in.. you'll see it in teh center...

There were also two other comments made in the special making off ep... 1. that Daniel will do something between assend and the living near the end of this season, this might support the transition to a movie. And 2. and that Macgiver is back on the show more consistantly now, this also might be a set up for the movie.
We'll see. Lets just hope they dont F up battlestar with the spin off that is takeing SG-1's spot.

Uhm... no need to heal toe in a video game. And, I'm 6"tall and drive a R32 and heal toe by rolling my foot, have for 12 years with no issues.

I use to work 70+ hour weeks at Apple in Cupertino, and I see no reports about my situation! lol :-)
