    I guess the way to game this system is to accuse the accuser, I mean, if enough people spend time accusing the accuser of pirating software. They will be forced to spend time defending themselves instead of attacking 8 years olds and puppies.

    I'm sorry to report that not even XBMC supports Theora - which is very unfortunate, since I find that streaming wise - nothing comes close on narrow broadband.

    because, the google earth project used to be called keyhole i think, and thats why its actually keyhole markup language, not to mention the confusion gml file would have on gmail users ;)

    A bit OT but... its like kids growing up these days with the digital camera age. natural for them to just run over and look at the picturse right after it was taken. not totally unheard of when i was a kid (polaroid) but still...

    I agree with you up to the point where you state that any civilisation is driven by technology, but the real drive has been economics. As loong as there is money to be made, there will be someone to find that way to do it.
    I mean, the next big thing, is just a label we put on something that succeeds, but it doesnt necesserly have to be something new. It could be an old idea that was ahead of its time, and catches on.
    As soon as someone finds a way to make desktop cold fusion, we're gonna have heeps of "Big things", even really really small big things like nano-stuff
