    I hate getting a glimmer of hope that not all is lost in this 'democratic' country, only read TFA for quotes like this:

    It's also true that even if it did pass the Senate, the President will veto it, and there won't be enough votes to override the veto. So this bill won't become law, but that doesn't matter...
    So yippee; some more of our elected officials stood up and pretended to do something today. Now they can wave their voting record around at the next election, regardless that nothing was ever accomplished.

    That vote was for the House to approve an outside panel to investigate its ethics. One that the Senate rejected as unnecessary. (Because everyone knows the Senate members ethics are beyond reproach)

    I'm not sure that was linked to the new congressman's ability with coding skills, but I think I like him already.

    Not so bad an idea, *after* we find a way to drastically reduce the travel time.

    This may be the dumbest idea I've heard today (it is election season though, there are 6 hours left to hear worse). The article draws comparison to potentially deadly trips like the first South Pole expedition, but surely those people at least intended to come back.

    To berate NASA for not wanting to send a multi million (billion?) dollar mission to mars with a pilot that is, after all, suicidal is just asinine.

    Ha! Like that could exist. Disclaimer: this is coming from someone who gets all his news online (My TV is used solely for DVDs). I do read BBC and Reuters mostly, along with a few from this side of the pond such as NYT occasionally, but I do not expect unbiased anything.

    I just feel the need to skim the top stories to prevent a total disassociation with 'current events'.

    I see you have tons of replies and I did not read them all, but they seem to be discussing what you said. Not to take away from anything you said, but you missed entirely the point of the GP you replied to.

    Then they should not be protected from legal action regarding what flows over the network.

    Make that stipulation and they will stop in a heart beat.

    He is saying if they are looking at all the packets then make them liable for things like child pr0n. Whereas now they are immune.

    Speaking of the "Home" button, it's on the Bookmarks toolbar now, in case you were wondering.
    Thanks. Knew something was missing ;) I never show the bookmarks toolbar and in the ten minutes I've had it installed didn't see it.

    You can move it back where it belongs while in the Customize Toolbar dialog.
    I am a fan of a streamlined look and I'll do you one better. Drag ALL the icons and navigation bars to the top row and you can also remove the 'Navigation Toolbar' check mark without losing anything. There is plenty of room there... who needs a full screen address bar?

    For memory leaks I was only referring to the difference between version 3.0 and any 2.0.x.x. Not sure at all, but I suspect that the huge memory consumption others reported and you did not experience was more to do with the total memory available on the system. Surely something must prevent Firefox form using more than x% of available RAM?

    You don't run NoScript? Personally I'm using 3.0 beta2 (the few bugs are totally worth the better memory management, IMO), but I would never dream of running any version without NoScript.

    It certainly is strange, and I'm not so sure I could get used to it either. But then wasn't the same said for many of the things we use daily when they first came out?

    My question is why? The video seemed to emphasize the idea of having a 10" screen on a 7" device. Where is the great application for this? I mean where is it you are needing to bring a portable that you have room for this but not a 10" version? It's not like it will fit in your pocket.
