Probably just the opposite. Right now, hard drives are being made in the 1.8 in form factor, and Toshiba has a.85 in form factor drive. Since hard drives are so much cheaper per GB, and the price is constantly falling (much better competition in the HDD market than in flash) you will quite likely have a hard drive in your computer for a good long while. Will software manufacturers eventualy switch to a flash OS? That sounds more reasonable, and especially good for them from a licence management point of view.

Somehow that seems like it might go awry... I just can't quite put my finger on it though.
Sony has a virtually guaranteed market for blu-ray disks in the PS3 gaming market. Unless the PS3 is a total failure I doubt blu-ray could be a real loser. I don't blame Sony for trying to use that market to push HD-DVD out of the market.
Wait just a second there, not too long ago I heard something about a google OS. Google is positioned so strongly that if they offered an OS, they could pose a significant threat to M$.
This is going to end up working like a giant marketing campaign for blue security once the spammers fail miserably. Sending more spam to people who are already using BlueFrog is going to backfire because BlueFrog works. Publishing the list blue security subscribers isn't going to do any good since they all have BlueFrog, and will just push the little "Report New Messages In Spam Folder" button. Then, having shown that BlueFrog works, and having foiled the spammers, more people will sign up.
Also, the blue security website is still up.

Scientific American Did a great article recently on how the Bush Administration has been censoring scientific reports to fit thier particular agenda. It seems an oilman doesn't want oilmen to look like bad people. Who would have guessed?

Is that so... interesting, then why is it, when republicans have control of all branches of federal government, that just the opposite values are being pushed by republicans?
This just isn't gonna work for Ask.com. Why? because Google knows what it needs to do to maintain market share. Keep being not evil. As long a Google rolls out a new beta every once in a while and doesn't do anything evil, they are money.
This has been a standard procedure for measuring the effects of zero G's for quite a while here. The bed rest model has been used to determine the usefulness of various methods for countering the bone loss of astronauts while in zero G's. Bed rest has been used as a model for osteoporosis too. The article is mostly about the exercise counter measures they apparently developed. Unfortunately they really aren't all that innovative either. Resistance exercises and treadmill running are exactly the counter measures used now. I don't see how this is news, interesting maybe, but not news.
My ego? Get a grip - most professors' salaries are pathetic compared to what they could make in industry.
Interesting that your salary is what drives your ego.
I can see it now:
Bigger than a PSP,
Unstable as Windows CE,
One Eighth the battery life of an ipod,
And of course all the usual delights of using a windows device.
It could be useful. I.E. development of interfaces between biological materials (insect eyes and the like) and electronics. I don't think the particular incarnation that they are talking about (nobody suspects the butterfly, but seriously). This direction of research could be particularly useful in the development of implants.
Good Question. Leading up to the 2004 election FEMA did a great job of disaster recovery and mitigation in Florida
after a bad hurrincane season.
Perhaps it might have been easier to justify spending a lot of money in a swing state right before an election?
Seagate drives come with a 5 year warranty. WD drives do not.

how about MATLab or Mathmatica or running python libs. I know I basically had to run some of my MATLab programs on macs at school to save time.

When your entire argument is a glorified "uhn uh, no way man" it's hard to make it any longer than two lines.

FTFA: all versions of MS Office dating back to MS Office 97. RTFA!
Rep. Ed Markey has introduced some legislation for net neutrality. Write your congressman or something about this.

I'm gonna make my own internet, with blackjack and hookers! In fact, forget the internet and the blackjack.
I conclude that the cartel is not the result of GOD's direct intervention but instead a back seat grope fest and a broken prophalactic.

Wow, that picture says a lot. Copyright dorks are even worse than us.

BSOD inducer? I think I already have that

The relevant community would be the Internet. I doubt any sensible consensus could be reached here, no wonder they wouldn't hear the case.
