I am starting to feat that the real issue with google is not that they want to spy every move we make but that they actually tell us about the way they handle our information.
What if the other web services do things that endanger our privacy in similar or worse ways without telling us? Reminds me of the AOL data leak...
Is this actually true? It does come from the New York Times what if the opposite has actually happened and the US press is now forced to say 50% good things about the war in Iraq and has to portray anyone else in the world as an enemy? What if it is the opposite what if the freedom of press actually got away from US and they are now tricking us! Oh no!
Look at this! "A system and a method to do something with XML" And now they can sue microsoft!
Everyone should take this opportunity let's just have ideas of how to combine the different available technologies with different objectives and PATENT THEM! I don't even think we have to produce anything.
Let's patent "A method to sort an array by swapping specific indexes"
I am currently living in a recently-formed socialist dream and I love it. They are doing a much better job than the older governments and all of their US cock sucking, uh oh. Well, decided not to post AC because I really think this way.
Why is this propaganda moded Informative? seriously. There have been international watch on all the previous Venezuelan elections, so yes, you may think whatever appeals to you the most about Chavez but is a democratic leader. Doh.
Yes, those are kudos for Kubuntu, but I really wish Ubuntu could come with a good default skin, you can always change the skin but the first impression is always important.
I don't like Java too much but I really think that although ubuntu may be rushing it (since Java has not been GPLed yet) linux and Java may make a great alliance, let's face it, linux has the issue that windows programs don't work on it, even with WINE there are issues sometimes, and Java's main selling point (cross platform-ness ) doesn't quite work with the current operating system monopoly situation. The only thing we needed to start improving the situation was a distribution that comes with sun's Java installed by default, these are great news.
It is "possible", you may just reformat the partition later using windows XP "administrator tools" and remaking the boot record or whatever from the "repair" tools in windowx XP CD.
Or just save documents and restore OEM.
I am not familiar with desktop email but I heard thunderbird compatibility with outlook has been increased greatly in the last 2.0 version.
A perfect implementation of HTML wouldn't need javascript. Javascript is just wrong to have most of the time, pages are data, not programs, seriously. I am the opposite to your opinion, I think I like a lot the improvements on html4 and specially CSS, I just don't see the point on being nostalgic about HTML 3.2.
I use my ipod nano mainly for storage and for data transportation, found out having my stuff there, including some videos and isos... Makes my life easier since I have a common place for data even for my multiple OSes...
Even this way 260GB seems like way too much I would be happy with 20 GB...
GP is crazy with 200GB in music library, seriously...
New high-def DVDs will include updated keys and instructions for older versions of the PC-playback software not to play discs until the software patch has been installed.
Couldn't this whole "playable data now issues orders to the player" stuff be exploited by a hacker in order to render people's players obsolete for no reason?.
I dunno, I just see desktop apps are an over complication for me, thus Desktop Email has never Trump Webmail for me...
Webmail is just more portable for me, I only need portable firefox and no portable thunderbird...
Oh my god, are you actually saying that having played a violent video game was a mistake in your life? I could not ever think I would find an old gamer that thinks like that I guess there are always different experiences out there.
I played Doom when I was 12, I certainly don't really think of bloody demons today. I am not a success in life but I guess that's because most of the rest aren't a success either when they are just 22... I don't think playing video games was a mistake nor I would say it was something that made me better, it was just something that took my time away just as television and those odd games you play outside...
I just discovered GTA and thought it was kind of fun. I am not sure yet that I would like any future children play it. I kind of wish my kids could play the same games I played when I was young instead of them jumping directly to those totally overrated 3D games, I think there are things he could learn with such silly games like lemmings and simcity 2000. If I got him to see the old doom before playing a 3D person shooter that would be my success in the area of teaching kids to play games...
Vista: Expensive, some people got stability/driver/compatibility issues with it.
Ubuntu: Free, some people got stability/driver/compatibility issues with it.
When I installed Ubuntu in this comp the experience was actually better than XP, so I guess all the stuff you said is relative, you got "bad luck", although I would dare to say that you should do a bit of research about how compatible your hardware is before trying to install Linux? hmmm all of this was as a hardware compatibility issue, kudos! A lot of other people got more "luck" installing it.
Of course, I did not have any problems when installing/using ubuntu, just like in your WHOLE WEEK you didn't have any problem with Vista, however that does not mean neither of ubuntu's or vista's problems are mythical, does it? So some guy coming and saying "but I tried vista and it is stable" it doesn't mean anything if there are others saying the opposite, an stable OS is stable on all the hardware it is supposed to run on.
This is outstanding! I see no way any one could really debunk this! How could box office wins beat such an important statistic as the votes of 3000 guys?
But last time I checked the 'fancy graphics' mode was the only vista feature...

If you ask a Venezuelan, the British way.
If you ask a British then the Venezuelan way.

Yeah everybody knows linux should stay pushing philosophies instead of actually work. Who needs users anyways?
You ARE stupid for using IE. And I am giving out my karma points. Don't mind losing 3 karma points for saying so, but I really had to do so.
Gosh that's so offensive (against ubuntu) that you made me post a reply in disgust and then some of the mod points I used got cancelled. Thanks.
I was saying 2+2=11
My friend insists 2+2=10
Now you come and tell us 2+2=4, thanks for worsening the discussion.

Nevermind, we all know the answer already.

No one can deny how convenient this is for the customers. The companies love us.
I agree... ...As long as that doesn't result in any other blogger than Pamela Jones becoming a book writer.
What I can assimilate from your post:
Vista: Expensive, some people got stability/driver/compatibility issues with it.

Aero IS vista, at least it is vista's only selling point...
