For years I had texting completely blocked on Sprint. Suddenly my daughter's phone got a ton of text message spam and they (their computers) wanted to charge us for it. I called and told them that I can't be charged for text messages, since I have them disabled. They credited all the charges and turned it back off.
Point is, you should be able to block them completely.
I used to have problems with Sprint (not bad enough to leave, since they were good about working with us) but no more.
$69 per month for unlimited everything (including m2m all carriers, texting, web, ESPN) is pretty awesome. (I realize there might be a 5 GB(!) cap, but I am nowhere near hitting that.) It's nice to just do anything you want with your phone and never have to think about it.
My Samsung Moment Android phone also has one piece of glass. I recently dropped it on an asphalt parking lot while getting in my car, directly on the face at least 3-4 feet. It didn't break. It wasn't even scratched.
This is why Marvel Comics was always so interesting. Dr Doom and Magneto didn't consider themselves villains. They were heroes to many of their followers. They had (misguided) ideals, but they had ideals nonetheless. It made for very interesting reading compared to the hollow villains in DC at the time (they have followed suit in later incarnations).
I have tons of CD-Rs from as far back as 1998 with data or music on them. Unless they are physically damaged (scratched), I have yet to find one that doesn't work.
Yes, I can buy gold through a broker but I'd rather have an old-style bearer/non-registered "gold certificate" issued by an insured, regulated entity such as a bank.
Each certificate would bear markings like:
"This certificate entitles the bearer to exchange it for 10 grams of gold when presented at our office in Chicago, Illinois. This certificate is insured by XYZ Underwriters and is guaranteed for 50 years from the date of issue."
A major advantage of certificates is you don't need an ATM - you can order them by registered mail or buy them at a bank lobby. Another advantage is they can be serialized and marked "void until issued" with the bank teller or ATM machine validating the certificate at the time of purchase, reducing the risk of theft.
Not to mention the TV (if you're so lucky) that has one channel with cartoons brainwashing your children to worship Obama. Oh, and it's probably spying on you. Not to mention the radio in the kitchen that you can't turn down, also saying "All hail Obama!"
And your meat diet consisting of 1 chicken a month per family member.
And being killed for your education or religious beliefs.

extend to 10 years - $1 (you forget to file, too bad, obviously wasn't very important to you)
extend to 15 years - $10
extend to 20 years - $100
extend to 25 years - $1,000
extend to 30 years - $10,000
extend to 35 years - $100,000
extend to 40 years - $1,000,000
extend to 45 years - $10,000,000
Most people wouldn't go beyond 20-25 years and it would be very surprising to see someone go past 35 or 40.
Thanks, that explains the difference. They weren't rich enough to have fast enough computers 20ns from Wall Street to make it look better.
What about all the "news" stations that showed what Pallywood serves up?
Pallywood
I think Brazil turned out well...
I don't trust Doubleclick ever, regardless of what else I allow. Just the minimum, thanks.

For me, it doesn't have NoScript. I don't use anything that doesn't.
Just make a game with player numbers and city names. It worked for EA NHL 92. And 93 was only NHLPA hockey, the NHL didn't approve.

Or do.

Maybe that's why they don't allow special characters...

But you look like a dork showing up to work (or anywhere else) in a 1988 Ford Taurus.
Not to mention... How much does your car cost?
What about Richard Dawkins' atheism? After all, he keeps trying to proselytize everyone.

Hey, you're on to something there. If you want to keep Americans out of your site, just use this.
Can you? That's pretty comprehensive already.
Nice job. Now Slashdot is going to get sued by Righthaven media for linking to the LVRJ.

Actually, no. Have you seen PS3 sales charts? Everybody I know that has one only bought it to watch Blu-Ray.

Isn't that exactly how dollar bills started?

After looking at most congressmen, I can tell you that these perks don't seem to be available.
