    Actually I think that the prisoner's dillema can be applied if we assume there are two spammers only. If they both spam a tone then the internet dies and they lose out. If only one does then the spammer makes a boatload of money and if they both keep it low then they get the most money combined.

    I run Ubuntu and I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on what good command line games are available.Is nethack worth looking into these days? Is there anything I can telnet into that isn't some mud rpg? And why aren't there any overkill servers!

    Do a search at wiki.ubuntu.com for w32codecs. Unfortunately the situation is a bit worse for 64 bit stuff since we basically steal from 32 bit microsoft.

    Besides it's called belief. It's not belief because you have undeniable evidence. If there were an omnipotent being do you think it would be in our best intrests if he were assuredly known? We wouldn't have free will left.

    That's true because it's the popular form. However if a person is referncing a legitmate fallacy then some people might be confused.

    Way back when in the 1870's trains and uneeded e's were all the rage people had to join train cars by hand using a link and pin. This was the cause of many accidents. So many that you were called a greenhorn if you had all your fingers intact. The companies were actually more worried about the pins being sold off for scrap than the damage done.

    In 1873 the Janey automatic coupler was invented and had the potential to save many lives. Mnay railroad companies didn't change ,however, because they saw the old way as cheaper.

    It wasn't until two decades later, when the government mandated automatic couplers and air brakes, that this method became standard and reduced coupling accidnets from being 38% of total to 4% of total.

    If they dropped everything they were doing everytime we had an international crisis, they would never get anything done.
    Your assuming much more could be done in they devoted their full attention to the problem.
    A lot of time is spent trying to solve a problem and seeing what happens.

    Actually, most spiders you find in your house are accustomed to that enviroment and will die outside. There are few species that live both indoors and out.

    That is stupid. The truth of the matter is there are some programs for which simply no good alternatives available on linux . Some people must have photoshop. Some people want to play halflife 2 without paying a monthly fee to cedega. People might also have alot of thier information locked in propietary formats. Also it is nice being able to go to best buy and get something you want.

    I suppose the next thing you'll do is call them wimps and sissies because they can't handle linux. Wanting to use certain applications is a legitimate exscuse. I apologize if you were sarcastic.

    Oh and for the record I run on Ubuntu myself.
