Boy Hero? Bush is not a conservative...socially yes (which is stupid) fiscally...not....so....much. Calling Bush a real conservative is about as realistic as their being a pro-Microsoft article on Slashdot followed by pro-Microsoft comments, completely unrealistic. But thanks for identifying yourself as a "liberal" who can't take a joke. Perhaps they should add that characteristic to the study
If I'm not mistaken, as Milton Friedman put it, the world liberal has been washed out by modern politics...modern "liberals" are no more liberal than "conservatives." I think the true modern liberal is actually now defined as "Libertarian." Which is now termed "fiscally conservative" and "socially liberal"...but generally "libertarians" are economically liberal...but in modern terms are economically "conservative." It makes no sense...but it's true in actual definitions of the word instead of the political label thrown around. Anyhow, I would somewhat agree with this finding
Yet they still have more than 60% of the search market, this browser is just an attempt to push that idea of being hooked on Google even further; the more you become integrated with their database and services, the harder it will be to drop them...just like with Windows. So...there is no real difference, they would still be hypocrites to not offer a choice on the browser's start.
I wonder if by default they will ask you what you want your search engine to be, or if it will just be Google...because if I remember correctly Google threw a big stink about Microsoft making Internet Explorer's default search engine Live.com without asking (though Firefox does it). I wouldn't want them to look like a bunch of hypocrites.
Yeah, because Swordfish, Hackers, CSI and the like have all bombed...damn those boring computers. You have also not pointed out Windows didn't really dominate the space during the early Seinfeld years of Larry David. It's a set piece, as I said...so it's not exactly ironic. The "Mac Guy" wasn't on a Mac in Live Free or Die Hard...so does that make his commercials ironic? No...it doesn't. Mac nerds are just looking for something to squabble over because it's Microsoft.
Except if you actually watched Seinfeld you'd know that he never used it (I think there was one episode of him using it for 5 seconds), and even said in an episode "I need to get on that internet" when referring to not being up on current events...so yeah. It's not exactly ironic...because much as it was a set piece and was never actually part of any story. It's like saying that Patrick Stewart would be an ironic spokesman for the Hemi engine, because he was so used to the warped drive.
Oh my god, I'm choking on irony...not.
But what caused those chemicals to be released? I am quite sure there is not "considerable evidence" that free will does not exist. There is certainly some "circumstantial evidence", but no pure evidence that enables us to draw a conclusion that free will does not exist at all. We can theorize that it doesn't exist, but the evidence for and against it are both even and skewed by cognitive bias...which may or may not be of our own free will.
My sister is in the higher-ups of a large healthcare corporation, and she has just told me a few weeks ago that they are actually short of IT personnel and are going to start hiring them straight out of college, when normally they would require previous work experience. Then again, Goldman Sachs seems to talk their own books, not to say they aren't a great firm...but, they aren't always right but seem to cause a significant short term impact on markets.
The mouse and keyboard won't be replaced for quite some time...and the Wii's controller is more accurate than some things, but pixel for pixel a mouse is much much more accurate. The next step in GUI is something that the iPhone offers though, and that's a GUI that responds to more than one command. I can't believe these people missed the biggest jump that the iPhone offered. The touch screen has been around forever, big deal...but the "multi" in the touch part is what is impressive, and it can extend well past the touch screen.
Apparently you didn't read the Fairness Doctrine, because it would seem that it is in fact people like Nancy Pelosi don't know why there is animosity towards them and thus back a bill which is a violation of first amendment rights. Apparently they believe that it is not their policies, but the mishandling and misrepresentation of those policies that cause the animosity, as opposed to the policies themselves. It would be nice if you had actually taken that into account before posting, sense that is the entire basis of everything I have even discussed here.
No, I'm saying that the Democrats wonder why people have such animosity towards them on the right, enough to have talk shows about it, when this makes it pretty obvious. The same can be applied to the Republicans, they wonder why "progressives" have sites like the Daily KOS that likewise bash the Republicans...when you have people like Bill O'Reilly calling them scum.
I honestly don't see how my post was marked as a "troll" when what I said was pretty much 100% true. If I honestly have to put things like "pun intended" or explain in great detail a simple comparative thing which you didn't seem to understand, then I'm not quite sure how "nerdy" this place truly is. It's not like I insulted Steve Jobs, Open Source or Windows...it's just politics.
This is why there are so many conservative radio talk shows and blogs that bash the Democrats. The Democrats are showing exactly why there are so many people with strong feeling against them...who censors the other party? The Nazis did...and I'm in no way trying to say the Democrats are like Nazis, but the point is...censoring the opposing party is oppressive, if you want to beat the other party...then be BETTER than the other party. Censoring them does nothing but create animosity and in my eyes makes you a poor example of what America is all about...when really that's what the government is supposed to conserve. If the Democrats aren't censoring you, then the Republicans are listening in on you...yup, the Democrats really know how to win over us Independents.
Yeah, but Mark Cuban is an idiot that puts his interest before anyone Else's, so why should Google listen to him? I think this is the same Cuban who said the internet is "dead and boring" and that "We have reached the point of diminishing returns with today's internet." Really Mark? That's why you blog among other things and try to give advice to Google about making money on...the internet? This just in Mark: No one cares what you think, you've burned out...and you're now dead and boring, if you were ever anything else.
I'd have to say he was actually a great man and a great reporter...from what I know of the man he was a good father and an excellent role model.
R.I.P. Tim, you will be sorely missed, not only on election nights, but on Sunday mornings. And though I'm not a Buffalo Bills fan...in your honor I say...Go Bills...
Why wouldn't we be able to? According to this, it should now become easier to plant food crops....the biggest set back appears to come from rising water, which could actually be slightly offset by a build in south polar ice. I think there is a lot of stuff being blown out of proportion here in regards to global warming, while I think it needs to be addressed and alternative fuels need to be produced (if for nothing else, then for less wars), I don't see it as a major threat to human survival. The earth is a very complex system, we maybe calling for the worse, when we can't even get weather forecasts correct yet.
That would be a good sarcastic remark if satellites didn't communicate using low frequency radio waves (similar to microwaves)...and instead used light. There could be various communication techniques that we may not yet know of, that would cut down on radio transmission speeds in space.
Turn it into a permanent satellite (as in technological)...I'd like to see China shoot down the moon. Too bad you wouldn't always have line of sight...but it's a good "back up." I'm sure we can advance satellite technologies as to cut down on the latency.
I would like to see Silverlight content able to be indexed on search engines...that is one HUGE disadvantage that Flash has...it would really help push this product with web developers. Otherwise you have to create two versions of the site, one for search engines and one for users...though I think 100% flash sites are stupid...but people use them, and like I said it could help Microsoft boost it's market share quite substantially. Silverlight does look pretty impressive...

Liberals love a mess? No wonder they love government...so much in common

Considering you know what they are...yes. Thanks for ignoring the underlying point of my post though...seriously.

And yet you don't understand sarcasm...I'm glad to see we have non-partisan mods around as well...

Hold on, let me Google my response.

More CO2 => increased temperatures => more greenery => more CO2 absorption => more biomass to decompose => more more oil => ??? => Profit!
Edit: High frequency Don't know why I typed low.
