    That doesn't stop it being France's most advanced warship.

    The French have historically actually been very good at designing and building warships. Just utter shite at fighting in them.

    Maybe it's the perception that she's corrupt, malicious, dangerous, untrustable and/or downright evil.

    The FBI compromising their own integrity to protect her hasn't helped, either with public perception of her or in demonstrating that she hasn't broken the law.

    She is a very experienced politician, a very smart and hard-working person, and an extremely honest (as far as politicians go) individual

    Which is why the intelligent tea drinker has a boiling water tap installed, that produces hot water on demand with no delay and no waste.

    To be fair it's probably a little less efficient than a kettle, but only if you assume that all of the water in a kettle will be immediately used.

    Shrug. Netflix doesn't contain content I want to access, so they don't get my subscription.

    Offering a good range of movies would make a massive difference. Shit, I'd pay twice their current fee if they had 10k movies that included the top 1000 as rated on IMDB - and kept it updated within a year of cinema release dates.

    I'm spending more than that on a Sky TV subscription a big chunk of which is so that I can access a wide range of films. Most of the suck, some of them are just bloody excellent. Netflix does not compete.

  17. In IT? Shit, anybody competent can get a job in a few weeks, not months. Anybody sensible (especially in the US where there are minimal employment protections) has a few months worth saved up.

    It's 15 years since I didn't have at least 3 months running costs tucked away. I'm absolutely certain I can find a job in 3 months, and pretty confident I can find a good one too in that timeframe in the current economy.

    Sadly I'm not sure you do either. You don't vote for a manifesto, you vote for an individual to represent you in parliament.

    My MP is an utter cunt but he still (badly) represents me in parliament. I didn't vote for him or his manifesto. The people that did vote for him to represent him are still represented by him.

    Shit, he didn't agree with the manifesto when he ran for parliament himself.

    I like her revised manifesto rather more than the one the Conservatives were voted in on, but fundamentally, you're almost right.

    Parliamentary checks and balances will mitigate much of it, the Civil Service will sabotage much of it and the SNP will vote against all of it, so on the whole she probably can't do as much damage as the person she's replaced anyway.

    What if someone's done something so terrible that even though you legally have no viable recourse (e.g. Tony Blair taking the UK into an illegal war) you want to express your desire for them to come to personal harm?

    Well, yes. But applying that code to online interactions is a challenging interpretation so for consistency it would be useful for some national guidelines to be established.

    Perhaps the people charged with prosecuting criminal acts might be a good source of guidelines, as they have to choose what to prosecute.

    Russia did invade the Ukraine, did invade Crimea, did annex Crimea and held a comedy referendum that was fixed from the moment it was announced.
