The average PC user wont know or care that things were stolen from Apple OS X. They dont even know about IE7 ripping off Firefox, or all the other things that were innovated elsewhere but then copied into Windows over the years.
If you can and have space, hang your clothes up to dry. I know not many people do that outside nowdays, but if you have a laundry room or a garage where your washer/dryer are, you can hang them up in there.
Use the dryer for things that need to dry really fast or you need pronto.
You know what this means dont you? You coined the phrase, its all over now. It will be submitted on Wikipedia pretty soon and we'll all start seeing articles on Slashdot every 3 days using that phrase.
I guess IT 2.0 refers to tech support people that use a triple boot system on their MacBooks (linux, windows, os x).
Well they were right in one respect, people don't use Applets very often anymore. JavaScript and Flash took over all the small useful stuff. Applets are mostly games and chat rooms.
Whether or not JSP will end up being used more often for websites is anyones guess, but I think it would be several years before we can really tell.
I'm not into Application Development, so I wont talk about that aspect of Java.:p
1) quickfind can be turned back on by typing in the settings
*) as people always say, if you dont like something you can always contribute some code/artwork...
If you take about 100 pictures, usually 1 of them is worthwhile. Although having someone that can get it right with 1-5 shots is better. I'm sure user submitted stuff is changing things up a bit, but someone has to sit around and edit those things.
Raw photos need to go through photoshop, raw videos need to be edited, shortened and made more interesting than 15 minutes of a lighting storm.
Some people are smarter in specific areas, some people have design genious, others people smartness (knowing when someone is ripping you off, lying,...)
Its too broad a term to really define.
It will just be a matter of time before people that write forms make these email addresses not available to be registered with. I've seen some apps that already block some of the other fake email generators.
And miss out when your coworker in the next cubile farts or belches.
I wouldnt know what time of day it was without someones radio playing and hearing the same commercials everyday.
If your cubicle is next to a very busy area, where lots of people gather, then you dont have to watch the news cuz you hear everyone everyone talk about current events, sports and what they did over the weekend 8hrs a day.
And you know its near lunch time when you can smell popcorn (regular or burnt), greasy burgers, stinky seafood, or whatever else they blew up in the microwave. It only encourages you to leave for lunch for awhile so the smells can subside.
They are trying to get local news & resources

Thats the real reason they are doing this. Think about it, when it comes to local news, local advertising and local classifieds, the local newspapers beat them hands down. This partnership helps strengthen them in the local markets.
I'm just wondering if they are going to backstab the newspapers and get the "keys" to the local market when the deal is over.
Newspapers are trying to get back some of their lost audience by allowing "citizen journalism" as corporations call it. They know the future of the newspaper is online, so they need to get people back to visit their website. Fact is unless they really start to tell the news and not censor it, it will never work.
They lost a lot of people and will never get them back, simply because we cannot trust them anymore.
In the meantime I'll stick to indy and underground news sources such as Guerrilla News Network. They tell the stories the corporate media wont tell and wont let "citizen journalists" report.
Is there a reason why they copied Vista's / IE7s look? The guy that designed mozilla.com (also did Digg) did a good job but now it looks like crap. I understand they wanted it updated a bit to show off somethings changed but why did they copy Microsoft?
otherwise hollywood would be spamming sites like digg or slashdot to promote their movies, although I'm sure they plan to anyway, cuz they know it will get a few more sales
It maybe free now. Yahoo used to offer free POP3 mail access also and they also had free auctions before 2001. A lot of Yahoo's initial offerings were free but then they had to figure out some ways to pay for these services and get strict on somethings and so they made some options premium.

Kinda reminds me of Super Street Fighter Turbo 2 Zero EX : Third Strike

Wow, all we need is 3 days of Python and (iPod) Music (in Silicon Valley).

for any people that share their apps with relatives and can't update. :p

If they can handle that kind of bandwidth then its pretty much worthwhile :p
I think SVG and CSS3 (possibly even version 4) along with more AJAX/JavaScript/OpenLazlo/Flash/Flex are what Web 3.0 would be about.
Although unless the most popular browser (IE) supports SVG and CSS3 by default I dont see it happening.
I've seen some impressive things with SVG and JavaScript.

What we really want to know is what framework they are going to develop in and what AJAX library they are going to use to save democracy.

opensourcecms.com They let you try out blogs also, not just CMSes
You might take a look at some of the used ones they have: http://www.zapworld.com/cars/salecars.asp
This one puts all those into perspective
