    My first console was an Atari 2600. When I first owned it there were new sealed games in stores for it. I have a PS4. Now think a moment and realize how old I probably am to have owned a 2600 when you could still buy new games in stores for it and that I'm old enough that I could vote when Solaris for the 2600 came out.

    You should be ashamed of still having your parents pay for your games at that age. :-)

    Wouldn't it be nice if SpaceX were to actually, you know, reuse one of these stages first? Just a thought, but so far the one stage they recovered is going to a museum, but it's totally reusable if we wanted to but we don't want to so...

    Just wait for the sales and you can get that $60 game for $14 (or less). Unless you play on a console, in which case you don't care because your parents are paying for the games anyway.

    Steam, GOG and others have made gaming reasonable enough for anyone.

    Having a gun in the house while on these meds is not going to be an issue.

    Of course it is. Privately-owned guns are more likely to be used to commit suicide, kill a spouse or accidentally shoot someone than to prevent a crime or defend a family.

    I know they are not a good government, but we are not going to fix them. We have not fixed them in the last 60 years of them being a bad government. Nobody else will fix them either. Every Government needs a bogeyman, and the DPRK still works as one.

    You know, I used to think that was just a goofy song made up by schoolkids during WWII, but I recently learned that the US intelligence apparatus actually came up with that rumor. It was in a pretty scholarly book about US propaganda efforts during the war.

    We'd later see the same thing at work in regard to Gaddafi being a cross-dresser and Castro's beard falling out. I would love to have been a fly on the wall at that meeting. "General, maybe if we could just start a rumor about Hitler only having one nut, we could completely demoralize the German people." I guess they were trying to think outside the box, but still...

    No, I'd rather have US workers in a system more like Germany's. a country of 80 million people that exports about as much as the United States w/ 350 million.

    Don't let right-wing media delude you regarding organized labor. It's the main reason workers anywhere have a decent standard of living.

    Unions do have a place and need in certain industries... it's just that tech isn't one of them.

    Tech is special, because we're tech workers and we're special.

    Tech jobs are being outsourced faster than shit through a goose. Working conditions are suffering, job satisfaction is suffering, their work week is getting longer, pay is lagging, and we don't need to organize, dammit! Because we're special.

    A straw purchase is when a non-prohibited person purchases a firearm from a dealer, then turns and sells or gives the weapon to a prohibited person. Such is illegal because it attempts to circumvent the background checks.

    And selling a gun at a "gun show" is also an attempt to circumvent background checks.

    You just added "mild" to the statement, thinking nobody would notice.. You know the warning label on medicine? The one that goes, "Avoid operating motor vehicles..."? If you're depressed, best to stay away from guns.
