Zero you could clone Zero Suit Samus.

He couldn't be a clone in the Dr. Mario -> Mario sense, because Zero Suit Samus is not a character.

    From http://www.smashbros.com/en/characters/chara3/inde x.html
This isn't a pure character addition. Rather, under certain conditions, Samus will "remove" her Power Suit. Whoa! That's a woman under there!

This "photographer's exception" to the copyright-owner's rights applies only to buildings, a category which includes houses, office buildings, churches, gazebos, and garden pavilions. The exception does not apply to monuments (protectable as "sculptural works") or other copyrighted works, such as statues and paintings.
No idea how it works in other countries; I've heard unconfirmed reports that the situation in France is particularly bad. Apparently you can't take a picture of the Eiffel Tower at night without violating somebody's copyright there. (I think it's the lighting.)
I fail to see how that it "particularly bad." Wouldn't it fall under the category of monument?

I see what you are saying, but it might still be nice to have a set of "defaults" set up by law, such as (off the top of my head) "minors cannot purchase games rated 18+ without the permission of a parent." The specific law wouldn't matter, the point is that in this sort of law the parent would be free to overrule if they so choose (as opposed to if the law prohibited it completely), yet at the same time the worst-case scenario might be minimized (i.e. the parent who doesn't give a damn and doesn't pay attention to his kid).
