    I haven't used any swapspace for years on my desktops, memory is so cheap now that there's no point. On my servers, of course, but then again it's 99.9% unused.

    For example, this thinkpad has 1.25GB RAM, and I've seen at most 300MB used. Then again, I don't run Vista.

    Dunno about the author of this article, but got an "SSD" (hello buzzword) to get rid of the noise, the heat, and the annoying spin-up delay. A compactflash card doesn't cost eleventy billion dollars either.

    I'll list them for you:

    1. Gamecube*
    2. Wii

    *The company that made the Gamecube hardware was later bought by ATI, so ATI didn't have much to do with that.

    the Wii is okay, though could still do with some anti-aliasing. The Wii is obviously more designed for a multiplayer/'family' experience [...] If you're wanting to go through more 'serious' games that require more thinking and time to complete, then get the PS3.

    How could anti-aliasing improve those types of games?

    Perhaps you meant to say "If you want mindless racing around a track or run around killing people, then get the PS3."

    Except that they didn't. It was some journalist that fucked up, as usual. If you have a cellphone tower in your back yard you need to register. If you have a wifi router, you don't.

    Indeed, and every time you do, it makes the article and the whole Wikipedia stronger and more trustworthy and useful. I've only seen one instance where it was used for trolling, and then it was simply solved by removing the tag.

    And fairly so. A 25 year old woman in the porn industry is referred to as "mature" or "milf".

    That has actually been a "jokingly serious" suggestion. Increasing the background radiation in an area so humans don't dare to use it or any products from that area. Works great with Chernobyl for example, the forest around the area has a lot more animal life now than before the incident.

    Of course they could. But there are more thieves there. This area is empty, so it's probably easier and takes less time to get the same amount of fish, compared to the safe areas.

Without very strong IP-laws, the US has nothing. For the US, it's more than worth to go to war for, in order to make sure all other nations will respect it.
