I had a 1981 Nissan Sentra Diesel that got 55 mpg in the city. It had worse emissions per gallon than the '81 Ares K I had owned previously but if you do the math for the mileage the Diesel Sentra was MUCH better over all...

Yeah, as mentioned by other this is BS. I have been living on a diet consisting of less than 30grams of net carbs/day for over 3 years and my primary food is from meat, chicken, and fish. The only carbs (sugar of any variety) that I eat are from berries (strawberries, blackberries raspberries, etc) and pecans walnuts and almonds.
In fact I went from 2200 kcals to 3400kcals and in that time, I am lost 65lbs (first 6 months) and have kept it off; my total cholesterol has decreased from 150 to115, my HDL is up and my LDL is down. My blood pressure when from 130/75 to 110/65. My memory has improved and I have WAY more energy.
The body IS much better off using ketones for energy.
Sociability is a poor benchmark for intelligence. Look at the average/.er or IT/technology guru. Generally not the social icon, but extremely intelligent. Additionally, look at most blonds. Highly sociable, not very smart.
My cat has been trained to use the toilet...and flush when he is done. Try to get a dog to do that!!
A cat will not eat the meat that is even slightly tainted but a dog will eat literally anything, including dog poop. This example alone shows which animal is smarter in my opinion.
Just use phone numbers as an example. When I was a kid (ok I am showing my age now) we had to actually memorize phone numbers. I think that I have like 3 numbers that I can call off the top of my head, otherwise I need my cell phone. If my cell phone dies I am f-ed ( I have them archived somewhere though). The same will happen with the wider use of GPS'. The more we lock in way points and destinations we will lose the need to recall them on our own....at least until Dec. 2012 when the satellites fall from the sky but the world will erupt into a fire ball then anyway so it won't matter. (It is a joke people..haha laugh)
This is why the DoD funded the development of the JNN. We can do this and more with a JNN, guess what...we already have it. So the DHS is just wasting more of our money. Thanks guys, as if things aren't bad enough already.

Hey what would happen if they used this robotic interface to remotely control the 'remote controlled rat' of a couple of years ago? That might actually be kinda fun when you think about it...plus it might be helpful in fully understanding the complexities of the....rat....race...buhah..buuwhahahaha

Come on people we are loosing our perspective here....First the polar bears loose their ice flows only to then be coated in gray ash! how will they ever survive this? And because they no longer have ice flows to hunt from, most of them have taken on land based jobs. If the volcano REALLY blows it's top this could spark a fairly localized volcanic winter and these poor bears, who have taken it upon themselves to hunt from land will be force, once again to hunt from ice flows....HOLY SHIT people. We can not ask these bears to do this (as they have since the beginning of time) On a more serious note did anyone catch new '78 like weather in the midwest? wasn't that about the same time period that the climatologist of the day were running around with their hair on fire spouting global cooling? Just checking...
I blame Verizon for not having the appropriate support mechanisms in place for her to utilize her Ubuntu with their service. As such I would think that she would attempt to find a service that could meet her needs. Further, the school is to blame for not supporting her alternative computer lifestyle, their insensitivity has cost this woman her degree in underwater basket weaving for gods sakes! And then there is her parental unit for not providing her with the necessary skills to live in the world with a modicum of common sense. (if common sense is so common....why do so few have it?)
Further, I blame this travesty on President Elect Obama. It is his lack of in site and failure to insure that every man woman and child in this country...nae the world...is fully computer literate in multiple operating systems. I call for impeachment....
