I don't think the battery issue is relevant either. It does support headsets, just not *stereo* headsets. The battery sucks either way (Atleast until you jailbreak it!) Seriously though, after I jailbreaked my iPhone, I can now get it to last almost two full days. Before that I didn't have a chance at a full days worth.
I got his point alright. Thing is that the iPhone doesn't support A2DP headsets. Even if it did, you wouldn't be able to use the iPhone *AS* a headset. You'd be able to connect headsets to it. It'd be the same with the iPod. The iPhone could support A2DP headsets easily without supporting *being* a headset. Same with the iPod.
That's gotta be the worst excuse EVAR. You can't use a cheapo BT phone as a *headset* and use that as a replacement for an iPhone. If it was the other way around, yes.
I'm using Zimbra with Chrome, and that works reasonably well. However, it doesn't use Java (except server-side, which is completely unrelated to the browser). It uses JavaScript...
Why is this modded flamebait, really? I've got an iPhone 3G, and unlike *any* other bluetooth-enabled phone I've had, it can't do DUN, A2DP or OBEX. When the phones are sold, no such limitations are printed. Unlike most iPhone-owners (probably), I live in Norway. Tethering is commonplace for every phones except the cheapest pieces of crap there is, yet iPhone doesn't do this.
If that's the reasoning they're following, I hope they also look at the iPhones bluetooth (for not being able to do *shit*, while all other phones can).

iPhone doesn't support stereo bluetooth audio (A2DP) either. Apparently, there is some reason to drop this, even from a multimedia-oriented phone.
Suits me perfectly. I never use either.
Of course I had to look. But I got a X-Leela header on the first try, not Fry or Bender:
"X-Leela: This is by a wide margin the least likely thing that has ever happened."
In 2012, throw it in the trash and buy a replacement that is 5 generations newer tech.
Quite a few Norwegian banks do, even though university students regularly disclose vulnerabilities in the system.
Because you're not using Chrome? ;)

People like me, who require it to access online banking?
Other than that, I don't think I use Java.
I don't consider my UID to be "really high". I still go Whiskey Tango Foxtrot when I see those trolls, even though I recognize them.
Opera Mobile is pretty nice (albeit not entirely free).
Safari on the iPhone is also pretty good, except it crashes at random points all over.
By asking the TV/Projector about the status of its light sensors, and trying each lightbulb in turn to see which ones are relevant :-P
Really? I'd say he's wrong. Water boils at lower temps at higher alts, making ramenboiling quicker.

And how does PGP (or GPG) protect your login credentials?
E-mail being insecure isn't news. Defaulting to plaintext auth almost is.
Mod parent up!

I jailbreaked mine. Still not satisfied with the phone :(
Or working bluetooth?
If Daimler AG replaced the silly "Smart" logo with the Mercedes-Benz star, it probably would ;)
Those prices include 25% VAT, which I think is pretty high in itself. In addition, almost EUR 0,02 goes to the state as a "usage tax".
Then you are... out of reach. *rimshot*
