Because anyone with a brain bigger than the size of a peanut knows Israel has a little more to offer than borders with Arab countries. In my 25 years of life in this "hellish desert" I've never once been to one of the borders, never once (knock-on-wood) found myself in or near a scene of terrorism, and probably once or twice visited our Judah desert, which is about as big as DreamHost's data center.
Yes, we have life here. It's probably not as easy or glamorous as yours, but yet again no one get's to choose where to be born.
This is a pretty stupid decision. I find that listening to music you like only relaxes you, puts you in a good mood and enhances your productivity. I myself listen to a lot of music when coding, and ever more than that I like to have TV shows like Simpsons, Seinfeld or other things I've seen a million times before in a small window on the screen, I work much better like that, has the same effects as listening to music and it definitely doesn't interfere with my work.
When I was in the Israeli army, I used to go to sleep in the ~30-40 people tent with punk music blasting in my ears, just so all the noise from the people around would drown out, that's the only way I managed to fall asleep...
This is terrible. And I just moved to GNOME after years with KDE. I hated KDE 4 trying to "redefine the way we work with the desktop" and looking at the visual tour I hate the way GNOME tries to do the same.
I hope this shell thing will be optional, and if not, I wouldn't mind seeing a fork.
dvd::rip is simply excellent. There's nothing wrong with it, and I've never had any problem with the 200+ DVD's I have ripped with it. If you get the wrong language, it's either your fault (selecting the wrong language, improper use) or the DVD's fault (bad language titles, etc.).
I recently purchased the Asus EEE PC 4GB Surf, and after a few months of using Xandros with KDE, I installed Debian testing on it and decided to give GNOME a try. For some reason, GNOME was very slow compared to KDE. For example, movies were freezing constantly and games such as Open Arena, which worked flawlessly with KDE, were slow as hell.
So I removed GNOME, installed KDE, and the EEE was fast again...
I was interested with this and decided to give GNOME a try on my desktop computer. I reinstalled the entire distribution (Debian unstable) and installed GNOME. Just like in the EEE, it was slow, laggy, freezy and all sorts of words that convey this obvious meaning. After removing GNOME and installing KDE, everything was going fast and I was happy again.
So no, I guess I won't give GNOME another try.
I don't think you can still call it "secure".
I hope that means I won't have to see Jimbo's creepy face any more.
It's only because we've already seen death, and it looked kinda funny.
Israel is one of the most right wing western countries? I've been living here all my life and I never knew that. Thanks for opening my eyes.

Is this Google's way of saying "We're in a slump and forced to cut back on manpower"?

Everything should be open sourced
What is this s**t? How long will Microsoft "grant" companies the "right" to distribute something Microsoft doesn't own and have nothing to do with?
It's like Carlsberg granting Goldstar rights to distribute it's own beer.
How the heck could this thing even be legal? These agreements are void!!
Microsoft Innovation Suite. Wow! Sounds amazing!
This company has absolutely no shame, and no self respect whatsoever.
