I was shopping for a new monitor recently and commented to a friend that it's like going in circles. Everyone had a big old glossy CRT with a glare screen over the front so they could actually read it. Then with the flat paneled fronts they started using a matte coat. For a while with LCD screens I remember nearly all being matte and only a handful of glossy screens. Now the store shelves are all shiny with the glossy monitors again and I wonder how long until I walk around an office of monitors covered in glare screens once more.
Glossy looks pretty, but unless you control the environment it's in it's more hassle than feature. I'd take a matte screen on a laptop over glossy any day.

I, for one, am shocked that the US is trailing behind 9 countries whose total area barely equal 20% of the US's in deploying broadband technology.
This shouldn't be groundbreaking news. Myspace accounts deal with personal part of people's lives and they don't want it interfered with. Which individuals have a vested interested in corporate security?
Watching EA run my favorite franchise into the ground was all the evidence I needed. It took EA about 9 months to come out with a patch for C&C Generals which could have been done with about 15 lines of code involving unit changes.
I always hoped for more games like Red Alert.
If your article went from 1 page in length to 12 pages because it's in a 3"x4" box lined with advertisements then drawing attention to how horrible advertisements are may not be in your interest.

I don't think there is a chemical substance driving the MMO market (other than caffeine) so I have a hard time calling it addiction.
