    we more likely to see a g33 / g35 system from apple to replace the mini with on board video and x16 and x4 pci-e slots.

    And apple will making a dumb move by going with over priced DDR3 that is not much faster then much cheaper DDR2 ram.

    the boards that cost more are sever boards and $360 + DDR3 ram will kill it also they can drop the USB based wifi on it.

    You need more then just an stick of SDRAM, DDRRAM, or DDR2RAM. There are a lot of differnt speeds of each type of ram, differnt CAS Latency, some systems are only work with some types of ram chip setups, some systems can't use ram bigger then a fixed size, Some systems need dual channel ram to boot, and so on.

    a system that is not making it past POST it not that easy to fix and bad ram can make it look like a bad MB, cpu, bad pci / pci-e card, or some other part I one worked on a system with a bad HD that was stopping the system from booting / powering on And without a lot of spare parts it is hard to test in some ones house and with ram will need a lot of different types of ram to

    Also the big box store over charge on ram and other parts and some times it is good idea to pay for more ram when you old ram is bad.

    Also a system with messed up system file can be from a Virus / spyware and just doing a windows repair install is not a 100% fix in the case that you will need run a scan and If am working on system with bad system files I will run a scan As I have fixed a system that had so much virus and spyware on it that windows blue screen at boot.

    We also need a mid-range mac with desktop parts and pci-e slots.

    How hard is for Nvidia and ATI to write a common drive for mac os x that made them for the cards for the PPC systems.

    As for the base video card in the mac pro you should get a dual dual-link dvi with 256 or more of video ram video card for $150 as that is the price that you are paying for the card and apple needs to up it to something better as the 7300 is out of date any ways a 8500 / 8600 is a better base card.

    Apple needs better hardware for gameing the mac pro with 1gb of FB-DIMM ram and only a 7300 gt in the base system for $2200 is too costly and $250 more to upgrade to a X1900 XT is ripoff.

    The I macs have weak video cards and the only way to get a faster cpu is to get a bigger screen that puts even more load on the GPU.

    The mini is over priced and under powered.

    But intel's Skulltrail is likely to be a poor gameing system FB-DIMMS and server chipset + nvidia chipset running over pci-e x16 1.1 bus split to 2 x16 slots 1.1 slots.

    The true AMD quad-cores may blow intel away the desktop ones will use faster and lower lag desktop ram then the sever ones that are out now.

    And The amd 4x4 system with 2 amd quad cores with desktop ram will be alot better then intel Skulltrail with FB-DIMMS and poor chipset io Full sever chipset + 2 nvidia chipset linked by a pci-e x16 bus 1.1 from the intel chipset to the nvidia chip and HT from nvidia to the other nvidia chipset with 2 x16 pci-e 1.1 sli slots. Amd system will cost less with cheaper ram and
    a less costly MB.

    The amd system will likey have the choice of a nvidia based system with 2 Full sli x16 slots pci-e 2.0 slots + other pci-e 2.0 slots with HT links form the cpus to the nvidia or a
    ATI one with
