We need more accountability for cops. A cop has the potential to do a lot more harm than a crooked member of congress. Your elected official can't burst into your house with guns drawn. Your neighborhood cop can.

Preferably, either directly elected cops or an elected board that oversees the police departments. Because in most places the only thing checking your neighborhood cop is.... another cop. Imagine if we had the same thing with politicians with no outside checks.

    You mean an elected sherrif?

An 80% tint is just insanely dark—darker than the darkest I've ever seen on any building—that's like pimpmobile window tinting dark. Out of those 13,000, I closed about 5,000 because the reporters hadn't replied after a certain period of time. It was a cleanup, not proper triage. If we had a quick response time, we probably wouldn't have gotten to 13,000. And unfortunately, without fixing the process, we will be at 13,000 again.

Well don't you think that if even the reporters didn't care about the followup to their bugs it means that either:

    • They didn't care anymore
    • The bug was "fixed" in a sense since they didn't experienced it anymore

Last time I checked, Hong Kong was was transfered to full Chinese control about 13 years ago. So is this some sort of symbolic stunt done for some obscure reason, or is it actually supposed to accomplish something? Saying you're going to defy Chinese control by moving your HQ from Beijing to Hong Kong is like saying you're going to get out from under U.S. control by moving from New York to Chicago.

More like moving to Guam, Northern Marianas, or maybe, Puerto Rico or USVI given the 'non-State' status of those.
