Great video. But at least one of the cars was driving on the wrong side of the road.
The girls and the first car they hit were both driving on the left, but the third car was driving on the right hand side of the road. Also, he had to be at least a few hundred metres out when the crash first occurred. That driver must have been texting too.
All nice and well, but that's still not understanding women. You just have the operators manual. It's similar to knowing how to drive a car, or knowing that you can run. Most people can (somewhat) drive, but they probably couldn't tell you how it worked. They can give you an explanation like "the gas goes through the pipes to the engine and then it goes vroom!", but they won't understand how it works. It just does; much like your explanation on how you understand women. You don't. You simply know how to push the buttons in the right way to get them to do what you want.
"considering the very high melting point of gold"
Gold has one of the lowest melting points of all metals. Just over 1000 degrees Celsius.
Clearly this is still very hot, but something as easy to find as a charcoal or natural gas can reach this temperature. A blowtorch is even hotter.
Now, I'm not sure how tight the security is around these things, but if you wear a ski mask, that could possibly be enough, and as long as you're not doing anything suspicious to the machine, very few people will pay you mind.
well, yes and no. when the police look at something, it either has to be in plain sight, or they need a warrant for it to be admissible in court. something similar/should/ apply to regular people too, so, if the photos were just there, then it's fine, but if they were in an envelope, he'd need a valid reason for actually looking through the guys stuff and finding it.
unless they were in a file folder, clearly labelled "Installer Files", or another inconspicuous name. Then the pocket installer would have to open up the folder to check what was in them, and not have simply seen them as he installed the pocket.
Why is there even a need to reduce/eliminate lightning in the first place? from what I can find, there's an average of 90 lightning related deaths per year in the USA, which is not very much at all. There seems to be no reasonable explanation on why lightning needs to be stopped. Seems the resources could be better spent preventing other things.
Can't somebody just upload their own code to one of said targeted sites? From what I've heard, the virus checks all sites on its list. So anyone could just upload some code to disable the virus, assuming it contacts their site first. Other than the fact that it's probably illegal to do that, even to disable the virus, why hasn't anyone tried this? Like in another country where it wouldn't be illegal? I'd imagine that no one would push for a criminal case against someone who stopped the worm...
Although TFA says it's smaller than the mp3 version + the flac version of the file, how much smaller? from their numbers, it seems you save about 5 MB over having 2 versions of the same song.
But, where ever you listen to it, you're only listening to one version of the song. So it takes up more space than should be required on every single device you use.
Maybe instead of coming up with new formats for music that are backwards compatible with existing tech, they should just make iPods and other mp3 players compatible with lossless formats.
IANAL, but in Canada, (some) universities have a clause somewhere in the forms you sign when you enrol in your programme that assigns the IP to the university of all projects done for them. it has nothing to do with the fact that you are/are not using the schools resources.
The universities that don't have this policy usually point it out, and use it as a selling point to get you to join their university. The University of Waterloo emphasizes that point often.
so chances are, that if you don't already know, then your ideas are being "stolen".
If you stop and think about it, it makes a lot of sense that the blackberries/fail/ much more than iPhones. The reason is because the blackberry is treated as a tool, more likely to be thrown around, and while it can probably handle being thrown around much better than an iPhone, but it'll break eventually. People who get an iPhone will carry it around in their little plastic cases, polishing it with a cloth after every conversation, and protect it with their life.
Also, the lack of mechanical parts (ie buttons) will make it fail slightly less...

AFAIK, this is the only site which will tell you if the LHC has destroyed the world yet. You can waste hours of time by checking it frequently, making sure that you're not dead yet!

and the source is fairly humourous as well.
Technically, the result of the debate was "no consensus", which means that they won't delete it. But it's not that they decided to keep it, it's that they couldn't agree enough to delete it.
The summary reads as though it was google's fault that the entire domain was blacklisted, while it's more of a mozilla issue. Mozilla releases this list of "Attack Sites" and Google Search automatically blocks them.
Even if I get to the site without google, FF3 still lists it as dangerous, and warns me.
If anyone should receive blame (which IMO they shouldn't), it's Mozilla and their blacklist.
Well actually, in the Olympics (and other various competitions), cold medicine does show up as a drug, and does in fact enhance your ability to perform.
They also recently either removed, or raised, the limit of caffeine allowed in the system.
It requires entering your full name, address, and date of birth, and then proceeds to submit it via an unencrypted HTTP POST.
There's this thing called a "phone book", which displays the names, addresses, and phone numbers of everyone in the region. and it gets delivered to me via an unencrypted, minimum wage, paperboy! it's not even sealed when I get it! now, think of all the damage he could cause if he looked in one of these, and stole everyone's personal data! I really wish that they would start encrypting the phone book with an impossible-to-break cypher. Like rot13. that would get him.
Sure, the men in those countries lived longer, but the article made no mention of comparing the polygamous men to the monogamous ones (within a country). It just means that the genetics of the men in those countries have longer lifespans than monogamous countries.
With PS3s going for about the same price as any other BD player, that's what most people who care will end up getting.
Also, I bought a BluRay disc, just to see the picture difference. Yes, it is better quality, but not enough to be worth making the switch, or buying Bluray discs over DVDs. And you have to be pretty close to the TV to care about the small noticeable details.
Cutting piracy won't make people buy more CD's. Obviously not everyone's like this, but personally, when I download something, I only did it because I wouldn't normally buy it in a store. If p2p didn't exist, I just wouldn't be listening to it. If artists make songs good enough to buy, I will. The "pay what you want" Radiohead album, I bought the CD in stores. Because it's that good. I didn't pay the first time I downloaded it, but after listening to it, I decided it was good enough to pay them for it.
Yes, I know, not everyone's like that, but I know enough people who are like that, to make the assumption that piracy is not what's killing them. It's their quality of music.
If the industry wants to make money, they don't need to cut back on piracy, they need to up their quality.
That's the stupidest password I've ever heard in my life! The kind of thing an idiot would have on his luggage!

Women.
I realize you didn't RTFA, but you could have read the fucking summary at the very least. Your complaints are based solely off of the headline.

I hadn't heard that before, so thanks. Is this true for all variants, or just the C variant?

It's been public knowledge since they first discovered the "C" variant. This is just an update on what's being done about it.

So it seems the article's been slashdotted before anyone on slashdot read it. or at least posted comments telling us how awesome it is...
So can anyone figure out what you actually google for help with the internet to get slashdot in the top ten?
