That space directly translates into sturdiness. Laptops overheat and die sooner than desktops, unless the desktops are packed tight like laptops (iMacs) then the desktops die sooner.

Besides, who can't take a 30 second break from computer every once in a while? Knowing Apple, the ads will be good and interesting to the viewer. This is really a non-issue. You will get to see interesting software or services (most likely tailored for you) and Apple can keep developing their OS.

Because of all the apps they bought previously, and the itunes music and movies they bought, etc. Lock. In. Baby. Now that Apple has users by the pocketbook, they can afford to cut corners just like Microsoft.
The people who play those games should be filtered out of life by having their money taken away from them until they don't have enough to pay for the basics of life.
