    This is why HE MAN should always check the digital signature of the downloaded file to make sure it's from MAN AT ARMS, the security software writer (assuming HE MAN has MAN AT ARMS' public key through other means; he should always assume the pubkey found at helpfulmirror.com is SKELETOR's).

    Even if HE MAN downloads the software from manatarms.com, he'll need to verify it somehow; SKELETOR might have intercepted the transmission of data and altered it with his evil magic, implanting an ETERNIAN HORSE into CASTLE GRAYSKULL.

    If McDonalds can displace 2 owrkers with a 110,000 robot, you bet they would.
    I'm assuming that's US$110,000, in which case I'd disagree. McDonald's employees aren't payed more than US$55,000, and even if they were, I'd rather have two versatile human employees than one static robot (unless it's a giant transforming Ronald McDonald, 'cause that'd be neat).

    You'd really only get scorch marks on your car. Since the fuel is only flammable in vapor-form with oxygen, you'd just get a car-sized kerosene lamp (with the burning rag acting as a wick).
    A friend once had an engine-fire, and when the fire department arrived, they just calmly walked over to the car, and unscrewed the fuel cap. They explained that the fuel would evaporate safely, and his car would remain intact.

    Then you're screwed.

    It's not culling the population, it's making them disabled, and ruining the overall ecosystem. Instead of a smaller, more efficient internet, the Storm "Worm" brings us an Internet with the bandwidth of the "overpopulation" (the clueless masses who get infected), and _its_own_ bandwidth. Instead of I-CM, we have I+S. Even worse, Storm doesn't just live to propagate, it _does_ things... usually bad things.

    you can also use iptables to limit the amount of connections from [IP] per [time_unit] but that's not as handy.
    The problem with all of these methods: wait until someone uses a botnet to bruteforce a machine they _really_ want. If someone has Fail2ban/Denyhosts on a machine, it means the sysadmin needs sshd open to semi-global IP ranges, and with a botnet, each zombie gets [num_tries] attempts.

    Back in 1994 no one was thinking about _selling_ stuff over the internet. Milk.com and Meat.com would have been used purely as informational placards. I can remember how many 1-page index.html websites I made back then for companies that just wanted a presence. The only one I remember that seemed to be doing something useful was a crematorium. (!)

    While "Love God", "Love your neighbor as yourself", and "Love your enemies, and pray for them" might be more beneficial in the confrontational grounds of the court, they have had less impact on our legal system than the ten commandments have had. BTW, Jesus also said that he didn't come to abolish the law, but to fulfill it. So, Christians don't reject the OT.

    You'll never learn to drink responsibly unless you've drunk irresponsibly a few times when you're younger.
    I didn't drink any alcohol until I was 22, and I have never once gotten drunk or had a hangover (which in my mind are clear signs of irresponsible drinking). I never needed to "learn from my mistakes", I just needed to be mature (for most people, read: old) enough to learn from others' mistakes.

    Just imagine if your fighter had been a minotaur with 19 or 20 Str instead of a halfling (or if your halfling wore a girdle of giant strength). You'd lose the +1 to-hit racial mod, but you'd still get your +1 from specialization, and the +2 damage, _and_ a +crazy damage from str, so you'd do an average of ((1+2+crazy)/2)*5 damage per round. That's O(n^crazy) !
