They did botch the hockey game coverage...had Women's Curling in HD, Ice Dancing(blek) in HD, someone told me later it was on msnbc, which is not HD in my city...wtf?
I recommend 7zip, it's free, it spreads your data to x size chunks (cd, dvd, etc) I use it all the time to compress large databse files, I've seen 7.5gb files compress to 500mb, I love it.

My dad worked at an Apple shop in the early 80's and snagged himself an Apple/// with Apple//+ emulation...it was my first computer, had a 5 mb profile drive dual 5.25's...sadly the// emulation was only 48k ][+ and not ][e I sure miss games like Montezuma's Revenge and such....I wrote my first program in AppleSoft BASIC...ahh the good old days
I generally log into other people's unsecured AP's and turn off the wireless portion...the average user has no idea of such things. it's worked wonders in my apartment building....YMMV
Well, I stayed up for this, and it was well worth it. From about 10 miles outside of Casper Wyoming, we saw approximately 70-90 meteorites fall, some big, some small, and a green one. It was simply amazing and I'm glad I was able to witness this phenomenon.

Reading the MSNBC article, it looks like the Gnome Foundation wants to create basically Windows all over again with the integrated web browser...why not just port windows and forget it..
