  1. Vista is for dumb fat-asses. on Microsoft Admits Vista Has "High Impact Issues" · · Score: 1

With oppressive DRM and licensing restrictions being shoved down your throat, I see no reason anyone other than a dumb fat fuck who shits gold and has pond scum for brains would "upgrade" to vista. Vote with your wallet. Don't buy vista.

  2. Google = yet another profit making company. on Google's Sinister(?) Plans · · Score: 1

For all those who believe in Google's marketing slogan "don't be evil", wake the hell up.

Google is yet another large corporate entity intent on making profits. They will achieve that by whatever means they deem fit. Heads could roll tomorrow, big shots could be replaced by someone from the NSA. Maybe Pagey and Sergey would be zapped by an evil ray and they'd turn over all our records to the CIA.

Don't be too complacent about google's increasing power. You never know when they'll shaft you.

  3. Why not an "over 70" or "handicapped" section? on 'Over 30' Section For Games Stores? · · Score: 1

While we're at it, why not an over 70 or a handicapped section? That will ensure the old folks who're not yet blind, who actually have access to a computer, who even care about games, can get to play it but are too feeble or need to piss every 5 minutes or forget about shooting up their neighborbood mall or school because they forgot what it is they set out to do 3 minutes ago? Or maybe a braille version for the "visually impaired"?

  4. Yet another victim to US corporate greed. on Canada May Lose Copyright Fair-Use Rights · · Score: 1

This was bound to happen. Unless you guys fight it, Canada will be yet another statistic in the waves of destruction unleashed by greedy US mega-corporations.

  5. Anyone on /. actually use Outlook for email? on New Outlook Won't Use IE To Render HTML · · Score: 1

That brings me to another point - write speeds. I can imagine how pleasant it would be for the early adopters, with 1x or 2x write speeds :) Start the burn, go on your annual vacation, and it's done when you're back. Muwahahaha.

  8. What happens when you scratch it? on Three HD Layers Today, Ten Layers Tomorrow · · Score: 1

You want to store 200 gigs on a single, open-to-the-elements, unprotected piece of plastic? What happens when it's scratched, I wonder...

At the prices they're selling at today, I'd rather use a portable HDD. They had better come up with some nuclear blast resistant protection for these discs.

  9. Jobs dropped the ball on this one. on No Third-party Apps on iPhone Says Jobs · · Score: 1, Insightful

Hmmm let's see. No replaceable battery, no use to business users since it won't talk to exchange servers, sync with outlook, read excel/word docs, etc, no Java, no 3G, and now no 3rd party apps? So they want people to pay $599 for something that "looks cool" and do little else? I'm reminded of Lisa and Newton.

  10. iWhat? on How Apple Kept the iPhone Secret · · Score: 1
