Biggest issue for.nix migration for the enterprise is that there is a lot of software that we use that just wonâ(TM)t run under.nix and only on windows. Erp for one is a MAJOR investment and the life blood of the corporation installation, setup and implementation can easily run in the millions.
Only route I can think of is to get a business subscription to office 365. We are currently getting business premium for 12.50 a month. Once you have a subscription you can purchase an add on subscription for 10 enterprise for 5$ a month per machine.
Actually email is depending more and more on things like dkim for email authentication at the source. (Special dkim code in registrar dns) and I have actually had issues with some mail servers since we donâ(TM)t have one. Curtly in the middle of an office 365 migration. So I almost see a point where email will more secure than pots.
How, the materials they are using already are present on this planet and have a fixed weight. Now if they were pulling the resources from another planet, that would be a different story.
Or purchased a computer with it pre installed. I still remember the 36 floppy disk install for os/2 warp, took 4 hrs to install it back in '92. Used it for like a week and reinstalled windows for workgroups. Biggest issue back then was that there was just 0 support from ibm for it and very little support for hardware unless you purchased specifically off their hardware list..
You must be doing some hard core.. something? I have only bought amd for decades and my personal upgrade path is every 6-10 years.. I may upgrade my video card every 3-4 years, but beyond that it just seems like a total waste of money.. but then.. I abhor first person shooters and pvp..
Course there is my sister, she works in IT and she make six figures but every time she has an issue I have to fix her computer.. me a lowly iscoordinator that make about 40k but has 3 hats above and beyond that. Unfortunately my company has two positions. Mine and it manager and they seem to be fixated on titles even though they have little to do with what we actually do on a daily basis.
Hmm, much like a phone system messaging router we have that is 20 feet up under a drop ceiling that had yet another drop ceiling under that which was 10 feet off the ground..
And if the governments weren't so hard bent on using the uranium for bombs then they would be using thorium that was postulated decades ago and we wouldn't be in this mess to begin with.
I've been running Windows 10 betas since they were available and I know at least Symantec with their end point protection had something that worked when we were still in technical preview..
Atleast in my area that was one of the selling points for attracting people to cable and they used to have commercials about it. Commercial free that is.
A lot more then that.. there's also a few hundred thousand Shopify stores that were affected as well to include my company's store. Generally directly interfearing with commerce is a big no no as well.
The problem is that the "Affordable Healthcare Act" has nothing whatsoever to do with healthcare. It deals specifically with health "Insurance" and still has caps on the maximum lifetime expenditure.
They could also use a private team speak / ventrilo / etc. server but I would hazard a guess that most of it is done via throw away cell phones.. so let's take away Mobil phones from everyone? Really this whole speiel sounds a lot like the whole " gateway drug" dispute.

Hmm, 90% of the systems I have to work with in a corporate environment with no budget...

Though if people ran as a standard user and not administrator most of this would be a non issue.
