No, I was pointing out devices that take a lot of power. Yes, they happened to be near outlets, but the article talked about reducing the number of cables you used. Most of the stuff i have drains a good bit of power, and my concern was that "WOULDN'T THIS BE FOR THINGS WITH LOW POWER DRAIN." I essentially said it would be good for !gasp! mobile devices.
If you had actually read my post instead of trying to spring board a moronic and lame joke, you might have noticed what I said. I wasn't saying that it is useless, I'm saying because broadcast power, at least from what i have seen, isn't the most efficient way to move electricity. You tend to waste a good bit of the power to get it through the air. With a device that only pulls a small amount of of power you won't really notice the energy being wasted to get power to the device, however on a larger item, the power usage would be noticeable, and the power that is wasted would be undesirable. I'm also willing to bet that the coffee warmer takes several times more power than any palm pilot would.
Not really Jackass. I was picking devices that have large potential power draws. My xbox and my PC for example. Frankly I have the feeling I go outside more than you do. Now, quit trying to be intelligent.
be best suited for low power applications. Charging a cell phone or palm pilot for example. I mean, I don't see this working for my 500watt computer or my xbox 360. It might charge the controller for my 360, but it would really only get rid of maybe 2 cables behind my computer.
Your taking spending in the literal monetary way. Thats not how it should be looked at. A death that results in no changes for the better is wasted. However a death is still a death. To die for a cause is better than to die for nothing. Life has no monetary value.

The government shall fear the people.
A government that does not fear the people is a broken one, and it is the right and the DUTY of the people to remove that government, through their vote, or if necessary, through force.

Some of the newer types of land mines can be deactivated. They have a timing mechanism that render them inert, it isn't always as reliable. Some can actually be remote detonated, however the countries that tend to employ mines heavily can't afford them.
They are the 2nd smartest beings on the planet. Humans are the 3rd. I'm betting mice are the 1st... we only thing we are testing them, its the other way around.

Great. just what i wanted, my grades and my work to mean even less. Thank you god for people who cheapen the entire system and ruin my credibility as a student.
Slightly off topic, might be IT related, since it was a software thing. Guy I have met in the CS program at my school came back one day from his internship with his bosses business card. His boss was the "Director of Product Enhancements". However on the front of the card it was given as an acronym, DOPE.
For 2 reasons it was funny. One it came straight out of a Dilbert comic, the prof found it incredibly funny too.
2nd reason, apparently this manager requested that every first letter in his title be in the acronym. Originally it was just DPE. His boss apparently remains completely oblivious.
I was also suprised considering how small the company was.
are they still selling standalone systems that are not in a bundle. I can't afford that on launch. All I'm going to get is vga adapter and a game and a system.
I did an absentee ballot. I think it will be done with a scantron. Oh wait my vote won't count anyhoo, I has to make it thruough the postal system first.
Actually a lot of data is from that date. Navigation and other systems probably rely on the date being correct to give an accurate reading or reliable function.
Very few games can ever hope to reach the same level as Deus Ex.
Eventually the console and "PC" will be dead, we will have moved onto another computing paradigm. I am an avid PC gamer, I enjoy mapping in Source and I used to like mapping in goldsrc. I hate CS with a burning passion. After 2 good years of playing it I got sick of it, it lost all its fun. Still fun for a quick lan match, but i think people should just move on.
I used to run a q3 or q2 dedicated server at my HS. We didn't do work in the lab, we played q3 or Q2, I was hated for my rail gun prowess in both.
The average 14 yearold has no clue in hell where technology is going to go. That is the average halo fanboy idiot. Hell the average console gamer doesn't either. They talk a lot but its not going to happen. I also don't see how liking halo makes you think PC gameing will die.
You know, I liked Golden eye and PD as much as the next guy. For gods sake though, why can't we move on. Golden Eye was good, but it is not the ultimate FPS, I enjoyed jet force gemini way more than Golden eye, for both single and MP, limited as it was.
Halo was fun, it was fluid and it was a good time at a party. The story was good for an FPS and it has a fairly well thought out plot. It Did have substance, so does HL, SS, SS2,Deus Ex, so do enumerable games in the genre. Why the hell do we have to act like a bunch of music snobs who sit around discussing what music/band/sound/bs is better instead of just going out and enjoying every bit of it that we like, why do we have to shove our opinions about what game is the "ultimate" experience.
Hell why an old PC? all of those run fine on my current one?
It is none of their fucking business who i vote for. If they ask me to volunteer i will fucking sue them right back to the fucking hole they crawled out of. It would be in civil court, you could easily win if they asked to see your ballot.
God, I'm cynical but even you pissed me off.

I agree. Over population is hurting Africa more than anything.

Lives wasted versus lives spent.
The little kid is wasting lives.
The medical lab is trying to spend them.
I'm gonna hate myself.
We should use stingrays. Kill all the bastards.

Would a voting verification system that took a a good bit of prep m,silicon, money ,and lots of hardwired programming be worth an accurate election?

And if you talk about fish to a starving man, your a consultant. Nice sig by the way.

When you have the resources to win a war of attrition, and your enemy doesn't, sometimes it is your best option to defeat them.

How is halo the 360 "Savior?" The system is doing okay, it has decent line up for when the PS3 hits, It is going to do better than last time.

Really? That number seems low.
NASA has to cover every little thing, public opinion is a fickle thing.
