  2. Whatever on Botnet Business Model Comes to Life · · Score: -1

All of these companies creating spyware and sticking it on computers need to face the same charges as the person that backdoors a computer to put it on there. There really isn't any difference. Except that this country obviously favors corporations over people. It isn't supposed to be that way. And the idiot corporations that help spy on our phone conversations, same thing. Otherwise, I don't see any problem with hacking. Why should a company be able to ruin my computer but my neighbor can't??? Eh...

  3. heh on Amazon Unbox Video Store Launches · · Score: -1

I'm starting to notice a pattern. First they DRM, then we stop buying it... I'm sure it works great for those that are computer illiterate and have a big wad of cash, but I guarantee they are losing more then they are gaining here. Only thing they do gain is a free pass to backdoor everyone's computer and invade their privacy. Where do I sign up? Yeah right...

The last time I said this I got modded to -1, or maybe it was my comment that man never walked on the moon anyways... it is not we the people it is now we the corporation. If HP listening to home phones and cell phones isn't enough proof then nothing will ever suffice to those that say it is not. Also, those that say Bush probably didn't know about intelligence being faked in regards to yellow cake or WMD are just kidding themselves. He's not stupid, the people that believe him are.

She must have bs in sociology as well, and I'm not talking about a degree. The video games are violent, great. So put them up on the shelf with Playboy and Penthouse. That way I can still walk in and buy it. I don't want to play Mario anything and I don't even have any games without violence. The closest to a non violent game in my collections is Civilization, and that's only because their fighting scenes are incredibly lame. Does it mean your kid shouldn't be playing it? I don't know let the smarty people with bs in everything figure it out. We need to get back to more important topics. Like... when is the RIAA going to have a cage match with the Russian mafia? Focus people... focus.

The company I'm at now monitors everything. If you look at a site they will probably have it blocked the following day. It's extremely annoying. Especially when I'm walking down the aisle noticing everyone shopping for their free wallpaper at some adware infested site that is permissible. As a native I am restless. They block my proxy sites too, wah. I'd never quit over it though these people crying should try working sometime. I wish I could be so spoiled as to quit over surfing the internet. :)

  15. What? on AOL CTO Shown the Door · · Score: -1

I don't think it is fair, no. AOL as a whole should accept responsibility instead of passing the buck to their CFO and whoever else got the can. Alot of people were involved in this. Even more are involved in screwing customers out of their cash, overcharging, fighting cancellations, and ignoring cancellations.

Just last week my mother called up and asked to cancel her AOL account. I warned her not to get it and only one month later she realized I was right. When she tried to cancel they kept charging, and she had to cancel her credit card.

That's AOL. They sell it like they are the internet. It's alot bigger then the CFO it is the entire company that sucks.

I never liked Limewire. The only reason that I ever used it is because you could d/l pro if you said you were a previous customer and put in email aol@aol.com. Getting the entire album is just a pain. 90% of anything I searched for returned 100 trojans 100kb in size every single time. Maybe I just really suck at searching, but I think Limewire really sucked when it came to d/ling music. The other p2p out there owned it hands down.

I don't care where the game comes from, but I want it to play as claimed on the box. Unfortunately neither XBox or Playstation tend to do that. Most of the racing games are all rubber banded, and it's just a waste of your cash. Then you have the fighting games which are fun for about 5 minutes when a buddy comes over. After that it's straight back to sports. Oh oops, did I just kick the ball to myself and score a touchdown in the endzone on Madden... my bad nice game. I'm go home and play on my pc now where I d/led a patch to fix that. Sorry about your luck. Don't let that bug get you down. Haha, whatever. Consoles suck.

  25. Virus Companies suck on McAfee Quietly Fixes Software Flaw · · Score: -1

McAfee is just a leech. They shouldn't even exist. Microsoft should have it's own virus scanner that protects users. I don't understand why these companies like McAfee, Nortons, Kaspersky, or anything else should even exist. Microsoft charges you 100's of dollars for a product that you can't safely use online without paying another company to patch it for you. I know you want to mod me down go ahead because I'm trying for a -5. If it wasn't for Microsoft being so damn incompetent our entire economy would collapse. Giant corporations would flounder, entire IT divisions let go, and we wouldn't have to lock up a bunch of kids for hacking.
