  1. Re:Civ 4 on What Is Your Game of the Year? · · Score: -1

Before you diss civ IV for micromanagement you should try playing it. One of the best parts is specialization where you can go for culture, domination, economics, etc. You don't need two dozen cities anymore you can easily win with 6. You can beat everyone down or just mind your own business. By the time you get to Beyond the Sword you have about 6 dvds worth of game running. Talk about options to micro manage, if you want, but if you don't then no big deal. Gotta love Civ IV!

I vote CIV IV Beyond the Sword as the top PC game. It's the only game I have that never gets old. Even when I put it down to try everything else that's what I go back to the second others get dull.

I was reading through this and saw people talking about aliens killing us because of Hitler. There are people right now enslaved all around the world. Genocide takes place with or without the German puppet. Let's say the aliens land in the middle east over in Saudi, Egypt, or Iran. What do you think will happen? The US wouldn't stand one moment for that. Blammo!

I believe it to be a terrible idea sending out signals. We as a people are not ready for peace. An evolved species capable of replying is going to realize this. If they are capable of getting here who represents us? Who do they talk with? They are going to have to deal with all of these militarized countries squabbling over who talks in the first place. That right there is enough to start a world war. Not to mention all the religious zealots who would just straight up flip out. If anyone shows up they'll have to get down here quick and take over before the nukes start flying. We have some extremely smart people out there but politics as a whole is really whack and not ready for it, neither is the population. Signals to enslave us... not so good.

  11. EA BLOWS on EA Executive Cites Need For More Innovation · · Score: -1

I purchased Generals, Zero Hour, and now C&C3 all from EA games. All of these games are victim to the exact same exploit EA knows about and refuses to fix. They release the game again anyways claiming a totally new version. It's never new it's the same engine with the same units rearranged. Oh, let's take the weapon off this and put it on that then put it on a new faction. Now it's a new game. Forget about those exploits everyone quit over, this will sucker them back!!! That's the EA approach to things. New ideas, not likely unless they buy those off some other gaming company. Then you can bet it will go backwards from there on out not forwards. As for innovation... when everyone freaked out that they bought WestWood repackaged the crap on a new engine and keep selling the exact same game as something new and they plan to release a new expansion next month again as the same crap but call it new... they distract everyone buy putting girls in t-shirts with their product. That's their innovation. Chicks in a T-shirt. Good job EA, bravo.

Workers who sabotage corporate systems are almost always disgruntled, paranoid, generally show up on time, harassed by colleagues, and perform tasks that resemble in no way their job description. In fact many of them should be on the IT team, have a better grasp of security, and for some reason get looked over at every opportunity and grow tired of working in the mail room. Results of the study show that brow beating, poor raises, and working with people who don't work but have the title of boss leads to pissed off workers that will backdoor your comps, piss in your plants, and slash your car tires.

I loved Carbon, for an entire evening. By the time I had acquired some of the fast cars it occured to me that the competition the computer threw at me was not elevated in any way. I could purchase all of the upgrades, go back to a very early race and the computer still kept up. Well kinda, it was keeping up do to extreme rubber banding. At that point I realized the best way to win a race is hang out with the pack, then only take off at the very end. Otherwise it's going to slingshot right back in front of you. This game has ruined racing games for me. The AI rubber banding stands out here so badly that you will throw it in the trash. I must admit I ripped the game before purchase. Thank god cuz I never played it again.
